Strange to see us recruiting out of Michigan. I don' t think we have ever recruited there before but I suppose we just played Central Michigan so we've got some exposure there. Wonder what Texas and Illinois have in store for us?

Really?
With no QBs the past two years, and no one on the roster with eligibility left in 2010, do you really think the Bison are so secure that they can wait to find a very special QB until the entire roster is filled with players other than a QB? This is, quite frankly, incredulous. I cannot believe that we can load up with players at every other position OTHER than QB for three years in a row. THREE freaking years?????????????????????
And for all of you who think the Bison can simply find an Armanti Edwards to step in and play QB as a true freshman, a position that in our offense takes a lot of time to pick up the play book and get the timing down with the receivers, I say bullsh@#.
We need some bodies at that position, we need some recruits, we need some depth, we need some players learning the position and the playbook like Mertens has been doing. That is my opinion. But based on the fact that we lost relatively few to graduation and that we already have 12 verbals to date, I for one am becoming increasingly nervous that there aren't going to be any QBs on signing day. I hope and pray that my concerns are unwarranted.
I'm pretty certain that we will see a QB on the list Feb 6th.
That's cool. As long as we focus on Illinois since half the Gateway teams are from there. I'm not a big fan of getting recruits from Texas because they tend to sissy out when it gets cold. Recruits from Illinois and Michigan can deal with the elements better since it's not a dramatic change for them since they get snow in Detroit and Chicago. Selling someone on weather is a hurdle. Although people don't realize it gets in the 90's and humid here in the summer.
I hope we stay recruiting in the Houston area. We have some very good tallent on this team from there.

Daniel Eaves last year was a recruit that played QB in high school but the coaches moved him over to the defensive side of the ball because we were short at that position due to injuries. Also keep in mind at the FCS level we can get transfers from FBS schools in the next couple of years. Let's just see how this class turns out before going on another big rant :ranting:.
