Final Director’s Cup Standings if anyone is interested
Arizona. Arizona St, Utah, Colorado to the B12?
Who would have thought of that a few weeks ago?

I expect one or the other but not both to happen. I expect 4 conferences of 16-20 teams each and ultimately the traditional names going way. Those 4 conferences will then align on something like the BCS/CFP for championships and try to reduce revenue sharing wth the rest of the NCAA. No inside info but I wouldn't be surprised to see a variation of this happen.

Notre Dame is the next prize.
After that, it's city/region media markets. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...vision_markets
That works for Washington (Seattle) and Stanford/Cal (SF/Oakland/SJ) and North Carolina (Raleigh).
I could see (in chronology):
Notre Dame finally going B1G
UW/UO/Cal/Stan ending up in the B1G
The B1G saying they're going 22/24 teams and a bidding war ensues for the last 1/3 slots
Utah/Colo/Az/ASU in the Big XII
Wassu/OrSU ending up in the MWC (or they keep the PAC name)
With indoor practice facility nearing completion and the outdoor track renovation, NDSU looks very well set facility wise at our level for a move up. Maybe soccer is the only sport that is due for a facility upgrade.
There are media reports claiming UU/CU/Az/ASU have meetings on Tuesday (7/5/22) with the Big XII. In light of UW/UO and Cali/Stan making B1G overtures they'd be foolish not to explore it.
Wassu and OrSU have real problems if that happens. They'll end up with the MWC.
