Yep, our niche is as a strong FB program with a modest, but wildly loyal following. There is some national interest/brand due to our ridiculous success at FCS, which would be a boon for a couple years in whichever FBS conference would take us. That would wear off pretty quick if we didn't continue our success though.

Pac12 definitely wants to maintain academics, but beggars might not be choosers. I think the only AAU member with even remotely a chance to join is UC-Davis. As crazy as that sounds, on paper they actually seem like a good fit aside from athletic budget. That's an awfully big jump though.

I think they bail totally on AAU and just go with R1. Thought about Davis too but it's just too big a jump.

One does wonder if BYU would prefer the PAC to the Big12, and if that move is set in stone yet.

Oklahoma St, Kansas, KState, Texas Tech, Baylor, most if not all seems like a good shot they go Pac 12. West Virginia moves to ACC? Wouldnt b shocked if Big 12 disbands in a decade.
