Popular in a negative way, let's face it

Popular like lakes!
So popular that Chris Cooley said he'd rather have gotten Winston and that Washington better draft a qb.

I'm sure things will be better in Washington.
I'm just bitter for dropping money on Colts gear when I thought they couldn't miss the playoffs with that schedule. Never again Carson. I'm sorry.

That nfl stuff ain't cheap. I wear eagles and Colts work clothes now eh. To go along with the outdated championship shirts I wear.

I bought my first Colts jersey in 20 years so blame me. I bought it at the practice where he hurt his foot and missed the preseason. That's my fault too. Still think it's cool I have his jersey even if he was only here for a year.

Six in Six years...
Colts quarterbacks to start the season...
2021 Carson Wentz
2020 Phillip Rivers
2019 Jacoby Brissett
2018 Andrew Luck
2017 Scott Tolzien

Wasn't really counting Tolzien as the season starter from only 1 game, but the point stands

ANYWAYS I will end it there, no need to go down that rabbit hole.

Mcfeely GLEEFULLY retweeted this after Wentz message to Colts , reading the replies is just CRINGE , such hate for Carson which is disgusting

Here's to hoping Washington gets a good OL and adds a TE to help out Mclaurin stretch the field.

Not sure what’s disgusting about that? Is it that if he is truly only listening to himself and a voice in his head that makes him a crazy person?

That seems pretty disingenuous. Pointing out there are things more important in life doesn't mean he's not listening to coaching, watching film, studying the playbook, etc.
We'll see how he does. The next year of his career is very big for him. Could be his last shot.

In a vacuum I’d agree completely, but it seems like we’ve heard from other places that maybe he’s not super coachable.

I think it was George Carlin who wondered why athletes praise God when they win, but never say they lost because Jesus made me drop the ball.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Carson Wentz is a committed Christian who puts his money where his faith is. His Philly teammates were leery of going to some of the places in Haiti that Carson didn’t bat an eyelash going to in his efforts to help the folks there. He places God, family, and work at the top of his priorities, and in that order.
The ironic and unfortunate part is that in this day and age, all of these things make him open game and a target for many.
Hoping he has great success in Washington on and off the field. As others have pointed out already, he will be fine in any case!

I haven’t heard a single negative thing said about the work he’s done in Haiti. He also doesn’t seem to have a persecution complex.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Maybe if you watch the actual video and get the full context you will understand better what he was talking about. He was speaking about how God can be helpful in your life as you face adversity. This was the day of or day after the trade. The Colts employee that had previously set up the engagement talked about how many athletes wouldn't have shown up after being blindsided by being traded.
I for one am proud of what Carson has done through his AO1 Foundation. Go Bison! Good luck in Washington, Carson! I will be cheering you on!

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Haven't posted in a while, but there's so much piling on with everyone dumping on Carson, I have to wonder how much is real, versus how much is stupid social media amplification. I thought he had an ideal setup in Indy, but it didn't work out. Unrealistic expectations or Carson's inherent flaws: that debate will go on for a while. Moving ahead, I'm glad he has another chance, and I hope he can begin to trust his teammates and coaches.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
#1 - 95% of the Wentz stuff is BS and CLICK BAIT Generated (the Filthadelphia fans follow it all and click on anything Wentz bashing)
#2 - 95% of players Wentz played with had ZERO problem with him. WE can point to about 10 actual real life quotes from playing loving Wentz...... (my fav was something about Sproles getting in Carsons' face... Carson helped Sproles convince his nephew phoenix to come to NDSU!!) that writer got roasted online bigtime
#3 - Carson is a big GOD guy, but pretty sure he doesn't walk around the lockerroom with the bible & donation plate.... nfl lockerrooms are rap music and loosy goosy.
#4 - Carson Wentz doesn't let it any of it bother him, that's why I love the way he has reacted to all this. GO YOUTUBE his interview with Pat Mcafee when he was in studio... amazing.

Its 90% chapo mouthbreathing hitting refresh until he finds something new. Dude is on his third team in three years. There is gonna be negative stuff out there.
Washington is giving him a third shot. Most guys don't get that chance. Just hope he plays well.

What's your excuse for the last 2 games of the season then, when he knew the owner was pissed and wouldn't talk to him?
He really played like it wasn't bothering him eh.
You're right that he didn't walk around the locker room with a Bible preaching. He just listens to sermons on his bose headset and ignores his teammates. God told him to.
I like Carson the Christian better then lakes the fake but lakes is really starting to ruin Carson wentz for me.

#1- somewhat true
#2- 95% = 10? But yes I have seen positive from former Teammates not 95% though
#3- I highly doubt you know anything about an NFL locker room, but agree he didn't have a collection plate
#4- there are many things we dont know, something has got in his head
I hope he can change the negative look he has had placed on him in WA, I have been hoping for the best for him, this is his last chance IMO. Would LOVE to see him light up Philly...maybe being back in that division will be extra motivation

Thanks for sharing. Carson is just a stand up guy and it doesn't matter how much he succeeds at Washington he will always be a winner. Even though I hope he does real well finishing his career out.

Yeah I probably won't buy any nfl gear of Carson's. I will still wear the AO1 hat and shirt.

Carson has discussed this multiple times over the years how his injuries and changes (ups and downs) in life all have a purpose and that he doesn't know the end result. He even discussed this in the FB post KC_Hats just posted. Life isn't easy and has its ups and downs, but he describes God cares about your heart more than anything else. Carson is not perfect and neither is anybody else, but from what I have seen he sure tries hard in everything he does including his faith.
I think people need to realize in the heat of the moment it is always easier to be excited about an triumph rather than a defeat and that years down the road you might be able to look at the defeat as a reason for future victories. Example I can give Bison fans is the Eastern Washington loss which was bogus by the way in 2010 drove those players in future years. Right after the game there is no human that would say glad the refs took that one from us cause it will drive us to multiple championships in the future, but I bet some players would have said that after 2011. Whether you believe in God or not that is basic human emotions.
