They are "big time", but lose games to our lesser FCS brethren.
Yes, we win too much. Who's saying we have to have a W/L like Arizona? I'd settle for Alabama's :)

They’re dreaming of media rights to the Idaho potato bowl.

Possibilities:
Not counting Texas and Oklahoma because they're moving to the SEC.
Only counting the Big XII wrestling schools and not the whole Big XII.
Using subsidy as a percentage of the athletic budget in some cases, but as an absolute value in others.
The go to source was always USA Today, but that's now behind a paywall.
Here's the KnightNewhouse data: https://knightnewhousedata.org/reports/8d0136cf
Graph data is:
TOTAL INSTITUTIONAL/GOVERNMENT SUPPORT AND STUDENT FEES
Combination of Institutional/Government Support and Student Fees.
I excluded Texas and Oklahoma because they are $0.00 subsidy (and the web tools wouldn't chart that many schools).

Did you happen to compare the revenues of NDSU and und? UND takes over 11M from the ND taxpayer SU is 4M -- Students contribute 3.3M at und vs .98 from SU.

The conversation was NDSU in comparison to its conference rivals and Bresciani's claim that NDSU was lowest in each conference (proven otherwise).
Feel free to use that same site and make your comparison graph.

If you're talking about HOT MIC, Izzo wasn't even on air and a direct quote from Kolpack when asked if he thinks it'll happen: "No, we are too far north." LOL.
