The ring leader said he would join TM when Simmers was no longer there. Simmers is gone. Soooooooo--------
But its been my experience that those that volunteer or donate THE LEAST squeal the loudest.

You mean they won't use trust fund money or their friend's credit card? I'm shocked.

We are talking needing millions more every year and that's without even considering a stadium.
So OK, how much guys? Time to put your money where your mouth is.
Can you provide me a link where we can donate to a fund that can only be used to move the team up to FBS? with a detailed plan on how they will use the money to accomplish that?
Why would we give any money otherwise? lets say I gave a billion dollars how many more FCS games per year would we win over what we do now?

also why do the FCS FOREVER guys post here all day? we get it you never want to give up those sweet Missouri State home and homes... go make your own thread entitled FCS FOREVER! and i'll stay out of it.... :).

Lol!! ANY donation to Bison Athletics moves the bar. Nice deflect. I mean, if we have donors just donating for the cause and have an incredible excess of net funds, we could go independent like your ilk is suggesting/promoting.
Let’s see your donation Hx!!! Don’t be ashamed.

There won't be any FBS move... at least not a successful one without an indoor practice facility. Currently they're in need of plenty for that project. Here's where you can find more information: https://gobison.com/facilities/indoo...ce-facility/41

To inquire about opportunities to contribute to this project, please call the NDSU Athletics development office at (701) 231-7447.

You have to work on your reading comprehension. There are very few FCS forever fans here. But nice attempt at deflection.

so if the admin or teammakers have no plan then how will we ever move up- I am just gonna trust you guys wont blow the money on something else or raises for the admins? cause that's usually how this works... none of the current money being given is contributing to any more wins.. once we have the indoor practice facility will we start winning multiple titles every year?

Nice try. Donate and prove it, or just shut your pie hole.
And tell us how Admin is blowing donated dollars. I’m listening...
You just throw bullshit out to deflect from the fact that you maybe have donated 5 bucks to the 50/50 raffle, while meanwhile trying to balance your negative balance checking Acct. I get it.

Why do you care about what wins FCS games? Haven't you professed your boredom with FCS many times. Building an IPF positions NDSU to have competitive facilities with G5 programs hence it's needed in order to make a successful FBS move. So get on it, help get it done, and they're one step closer to the FBS move you so desperately need.

I like most people donate by buying tickets.. if they need more money raise the prices or entice us with other revenue streams. Do the Dallas Cowboys beg people for donations?

You should then “vote” with your money and not buy tickets. None of us would object nor even notice, including the fund raising branch of NDSU. In fact, the latter would likely approve of you doing so. Leave, and go to Dallas games. Meanwhile, we’ll be just fine without you.

Why do you buy tickets if you're so bored with the product on the field? You can deduct charitable donations from your income tax as long as they're not associated with tickets. Just give up your tickets and donate instead... save yourself some tax dollars that you can put into the "FBS fund" someday.

this is Fargo there isn't much else to do.. and I love our product on the field.. I have never once said the players or team wasn't great... these other schools are so inferior is the problem hence the desire to move up.

Please tell me you are not equating an NFL team with the athletic department of a University. Rofl.

Then donate ... rather than bitching, but you won’t. You’re too involved in “you” to do so.
I have direct phone lines to NDSU ADMINS. PM me if you want the numbers so you can let them know you would donate thousands to help move up, and give them access to take the $$ directly out of you account. They won’t fleece you, they will say say thank you.

Because without seeing increased donations, they will not consider a move up. I realize it is a chicken vs egg scenario, but the first thing that needs to happen is facility improvements followed by coaches wages. So I suggest joining team makers, go to the lunches/events. Get to know some of the donors. Lobby for their support and show them that you are putting your money where your mouth is.
Otherwise you are essentially lobbying for socialism with the "We want shiny new things that we can't afford so instead we'll hit up the rich people to pay for it for us!"
Now, if that is truly what you're lobbying for, that's fine. (I'm not trying to go political on this topic) Just be aware that you sound like Bernie Sanders with your "FBS for all" banter.
Lobbying the fans on this message board will do nothing to move the needle at NDSU and their decisions whether or not to pursue a move up. Donations and talks with the University will go much further. Otherwise we are just all going to be talking in circles on this subject.
Put up or shut up.

We are talking about it because there hasn't been a lot else to talk about. We've covered everything else and have played one game this year where we could actually talk football and matchups. (SDSU) Other than that, most of the discussion on here this season has been about playing in Minneapolis, the Oregon game, and an FBS move. Thankfully we have the Egriz thread now to fight about it. Personally, I can't wait for the Semi's and Finals so we can talk Football again. If we win the chipper in Frisco, this board will be insufferable during the off season.

Its insufferable now.
This subject in itself and all of its reincarnations has been going on for over 10 years. All with the same people with multiple aliases doing the trolling.

Dallas Cowboys!
Remember what I said was needed for moving up? Support (and not just at the athletic level) and money. NDSU lacks these items while the Cowboys are swimming in them.
In regards to publicly releasing a plan, why would they do that? In a State that is ran by anti-higher education people (stating this as fact and not being political), do you think it would be wise in this area to be releasing a plan that needs more money from it population? Remember what happened to Joe Chapman?
There's a reason why NDSU fans/alumni are asked to donate so much. I personally can't list by memory how times I keep donating to numerous emails and letters for separate NDSU needs, but it is a lot. I think I'm around $600-700/year, but nowhere near the big the donations NDSU is getting from much wealthier donators like CAS. NDSU needs a lot more from us fans/alumni if they can afford to do so. Unfortunately, our fanbase/alumni isn't huge, but I don't believe a good percentage donate back once they are done with school.
Big time schools in the FBS don't have these issues when it comes to getting support from their respective State and City along with their fanbase/alumni. This is a major reason why they are FBS and we are not.

I call him Jackie Moon since that is what his athletes (according to my coworker who wrestled for him) called him at UNC. So far, he hasn't beat my arse for it.

I’m not a “Big” donator—do what I can at $5-7K a year, which includes ticket prices. And I’m not wealthy by any stretch of imaginations.

Re: A new and better FBS thread
like i said in AAC thread.
the AD and President NEED TO SOLICIT an Invite. They need to shake the hands, make the calls, email the commissioners of MWC, AAC, MAC and they HAVE NOT DONE THAT!!
so yes we need an invite, but those 2 making $200-400K/year have to be the ones doing it. we as fans have gotten the attention of those conferences, but don't mean squat if those 2 are TOO AFRAID to be aggressive salesmen!

Hmmmmmmm so after all the phone calls and solicitations the conferences say NO. NO INVITES. What next?

Re: NDSU American Athletic Conference?
THEY HAVENT CALLED . NOT 1 time they are scared. Stony Brook guy is just happy to be here and not at Stony Brook and Dean B is just holding on for 3-4 more years and retire.
THEY HAVENT SOLICITED ONCE. So stop it.
(back to ignore)
AAC would be amazing for NDSU. with this article, Pres/AD should be calling them!
