Roger was a 1 year wonder, but he did win 2 MVP awards. El Chapo math will be able to equate to that.
Roger played in a larger market so probably still more well known than Wentz.
Phil isn't necessarily tied to ND like Roger was. But he is a well know UND alum.

Huh, Phil graduated from Williston High school!
The problem with Chapo’s thinking is that he is living in social media, message board world where any clicks or tweets are more important than actual accomplishments!

You prove your idiocy daily thank you

This old dude was in Little League but remembers Maris hitting .385 with 7 rbi’s In the 67 World Series as the Cardinals beat Yaz and the Red Sox. I remember my folks being Maris fans because he was a ND boy and they were pulling for the Cards!

Happy to see Carson with a number one receiver. Also can’t wait when he sticks it to the Eagles. Also nfc is very weak compared to AFC. AFC is stacked!
Colts are idiots. Irsay is a nut job. They think Jimmy G is the answer. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

You've made a ridiculously bad take...

Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman have both spoken up too..3 of the best players on the Colts. Guessing most players just lay low, it's just business...

Darius Leonard, MPJ and Taylor have all tweeted positive things about Wentz since the trade. Leonard seems pissed that Wentz was traded.
This all goes back to the owner being pissed that Wentz didn't get vaccinated. Reich wanted him back but chose to keep his job over Wentz.
Reich and Ballard will both be fired after this season and they will deserve it.
I hope Wentz lights up the Colts, and Eagles when they play.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
I've never heard of a 7x All-Star with a home run record and his jersey retired by the Yankees described as a one year wonder.
-
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
I am starting to get the "where there is smoke, there is fire" vibe from this. Regardless of if Wentz is at fault, this is likely his last real shot

I agree its probably his last real shot barring something crazy. Hope he makes the most of it.

Carson Wentz has been talked about weekly, daily on TWITTER ESPN everywhere for 5 years straight!!!
Carson has trended top 5 on Twitter at least 100 times.
This isn't even up for debate. Wentz is more popular than all of these ND guys combined.

Sorry he is not more well know then the record holder of home runs in a single season
Again proving your lack of grasp on reality

The Carson talk has generally not been favorable, unfortunately.

Considering none of those existed during Roger Maris' day it makes it kind of difficult to compare.
But weekly game of the week on NBC for 5 straight years which the Yankees would have been, and it was the only game on all week
When baseball may have bigger than football right now, Roger was the man.
Cover's of SI and Sporting News along with New York Daily News every day for years. Again these publications had more coverage than ESPN, Twitter and whatever have today.
Clay Travis had an interesting discussion one day, What does it take to trend on Twitter? So the fact Carson trends a lot on twitter doesn't mean he is the most tweeted or looked at story. it means he is trending.
So per usual, the analysis of Sid Chapo is off base.
-
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Lot of Jimmy to the Colts buzz. Kind of seems like the Colts might be owned by a crackhead eh.

As much as I like Carson, I would be surprised if he is on anybody's radar 60 years from now.

Nice post. Back in the day making the cover of Sports Illustrated was a BFD! The pinnacle of sport! Maris made the cover multiple times.
Today athletes can be trending on twitter for kicking their dog!

Erstad was a great athlete. Besides football and baseball he was a great hockey player and ND State champion in the 110 and 330 meter hurdles.
The number 1 overall pick in the 1995 MLB baseball draft!

I’m going to go with Olympic Silver medalist’s Virgil Hill and Cliff Cushman. No teammates to bail them out or ruin their game. Virgil made a ton of defenses of is World light heavyweight championship and, well, 400 meter hurdlers are tough MF’ers!

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
are you people that dense or just messing w me.
POPULARITY = trending Twitter 100 plus times and Wentz is on ESPN / RADIO DAILY WEEKLY..
this isn't even a comparison. so just stop.
I can sit with anyone anywhere and they will know Carson Wentz. can't say that about ANY other North Dakotan. ever

Dude trends for the wrong reasons bro. He's not a nodaker. Just like you. So shut up.
