I was pissed at the time, thought their admin. were idiots. I let that go some time ago. I was for playing the game for a long time, but lost interest 5 years or so ago.....What this makes you is a guy who has been carrying around a resentment for 12+ years but hey, for some fans, that's OK!
Seems VERY quiet here at my work. The usual und fans have not spoken a word of smack this season.
Who are They? I believe the THEY you are talking about no longer have anything to do with the University. I am in my 50's now, have many friends from both schools. Most, (not all) of the guys I know who went to UND AGREE that what their ADMIN did back then was a mistake! I joke with some of my friends that went to UND...Your not a bad guy considering where you went to school etc...I know Bubba, good guy!....Like I said before, my beef is with SOME of their fans...and we have fans like that too!
I'm calling it...
We curb stomp the jokers from up north 44-10 and it could have been uglier. During the game, the 74 Sue fans in attendance chant "Eff the Bison" and we chant what we chant. Down the road, multiple chin Fiason buys out the 2019 game and "blames" it on the hostile environment of the FargoDome. UND proceeds to schedule Dakota State-Bottineau for 2019 schedule gap, we put LSU on the schedule and McFeely whines that NDSU is dodging UND and robbing the good people of the state of ND of a game they deserve. And then he get's an all expense paid trip to cover the Bison at LSU.
Then Rob Port and Scott Loser (Louser) meet at the Barley Pop in Mindrot (Minot) to devise a plan to make a plan to plan to have Bison Nation attend sensitivity training.
^^^these^^^ are all very good points. But it was an over the top asshole thing to do at a time when our leaders needed a little less criticism. Ed Shultz was just as terrible.
It shows to make a program as successful as the Bison, you need leaders with vision and fortitude to take a lot of shit.
Looking back, going to FCS was a no-brainer, but at the time it was made out to be too out of reach.
