Totally disagree---Tight Ends are generally one of the best athletes on the team if not "thee best" They have to have great hands --must also be able to block the big boys inside, as well as smaller quicker D-backs and linebackers. They recruit tight ends----and move them from there.

I didn't think SDSU was either and it has been reported that we signed two and are looking hard at one more in WI. We have had some history of turning big and athletic TE's into very good offensive linemen though so that could be our reason.
Signing day is Feb 6. Until then athletes can ony verbal, and there word isn't always good. So, SDSU hasn't signed two TEs, technically speaking.

Ideally, yes, TE should have great hands. However, the UND grad who plays for the Vikes (brain fart, can't remember his name) has terrible hands thats why they don't throw to him. Wurzbacher has okay hands, snaches some great ones, but dropped two probable TDs this year, one against MN.

Kleinsasser and Wurzbacher were elite high school athletes. Both were excellent Basketball players. They may not have NFL hands but both are excellent blockers and capable receivers
