Re: Amy Olson 2020 LPGA Season
Question for you Mangy regarding the team construction. This one from DART, who had been near impossible to live with btw. It seems to be a huge nuisance to DART pulling these player lists from web pages which provide nasty things like URLs instead of just text names and he can't find a free API to use and blah, blah, blah. Whiner.
Anyway, the question is since the Tier1 and Tier5 selections can be ANY player in the tournament and DART throws with a blindfold on what if his Tier1 selection matches his Tier2 selection say. Can he have 2 Lydia Ko's on his team for example? Or even 3 possibly?
Thanks.

If DART would be willing to retoss in the event that he hits Lydia (or the same player) twice, that would be outstanding! We all have a soft spot for DART, but having five separate and distinct players is important to the spirit and integrity of the competition! Hopefully DART won’t hit Lydia (for instance) twice or thrice, making it a moot point!
Regarding the other challenges, I am admittedly not as efficient at this as heffray was in the Masters Pool! Please remind DART that the MOB is ancient and it is 2020 after all!
Please confer my heartiest congrats to DART for his Masters win once again! Looking forward to another stout team under his Captainship!
Good Luck to you both!

Thank you for the clarification. It was much easier to convince DART to re-throw than to shepherd him through the manual screen scraping process. So after the re-throw DART picks are:
Sei Young Kim
Nelly Korda
Carlota Ciganda
Katherine Kirk
Hae Ran Ryu
GreenfieldBison picks are:
Danielle Kang
Nelly Korda
Jodi Ewart Shadoff
Kelly Tan
Caroline Hedwall
Tie breaks to be called prior to CME start next week.
Thanks!

PS to GreenfieldBison:
To make the throwing easier, and more fair for DART, you might consider for your players 1 and 5 just giving him a short list to toss at that only includes the best five or ten players in the field per the Rolex World Standings! Why make it overly tough on DARTSKY or yourself?!? Rolex standings are here!:

Oh yes I did do that for DART for the Tier1 pick. Still it was interesting to see those throws and where they landed for a full field pick.
Back in the day at one of my offices we held a pool for every PGA major each year. In those we drew names out of a hat for the top 39 ranked players at each major. The 40th "player" was "Field" which was everyone entered in the tournament not included in the top 39. It was amazing how many times "Field" won. Not as many as old Tiger mind you as this was in his heyday but still it was pretty common.

Outstanding teams and Thanks for participating Greenfield, and thanks to DART for his perseverance!
Remember that you do have until tee times tomorrow to fine tune your teams if you want to! I remain somewhat concerned about your number 5 picks vis a vis the Rolex World Rankings, buy I respect your experience and obviously proven track record, sense of trueness and awe re statistical probabilities, and sense of adventure! (I did very poorly in statistics for some unknown reason).
Cheers!
