I don't even have a word for how absurd the DII comments are.
Well it won't be DII when they move up and become our peers.
Re: FBS move fans. Here's a good read
NDSU has more peers in the FBS than the FCS.
The reality is that the FCS isn't a great fit for NDSU either...we are stuck in the middle. Both sides make relevant points, I'd love to see this top of the FCS and bottom of the FBS merger happen that some talk about because then and only then we would have what I would call the proper fit.

EZ, you are way too smart to believe that. Nobody I know wants to get trapped in the new D2. I am confident that NDSU will make the right decision at the right time.

Exactly. That is why GT wants to see how things are going to shake out before making a blind leap.

NDSU has as many peers in FCS as non-peers. They are right about in the middle.
I agree completely with your sentiments.

NDSU would be in the middle of enrollment in the top 3 public school conferences (Big Sky, MVFC, CAA).
We're not like your favorite school Texas. Even a little bit.

I guess I don't get the allure of being FBS. Best case scenario for a 20 year period would be a combination of 13 bowl game like Beef O'Brady, Potato, and Go Daddy Bowl and maybe one Fiesta Bowl.
