We won't win in UNI without any hunger, we had none today. Not even by the coaches.
The several times that we have opened up the playbook (early in the season) and had an aggressive passing attack, Mertens seemed to find the other team. I was hoping that by mentioning it that I would have the opposite effect...superstition did not work this time. Was really hoping that the last drive would be something that might allow him to have somewhat of a legacy and maybe get rid of all of the naysayers. I have a feeling there will be many bisonvillers going after players...it's really too bad.
When they stick to there west coast offense they do well IF they stay with it. Merten cant consistantly hit the receivers going LONG all the time. WHY havent the coaches figured that out???? Throwing up long air balls doesnt move the chains. When teams start doing that it shows panic as they get away from there strong points. PL
It really shows you how important a couple players can be, Mays, Walker.... They were a HUGE part of our hunger last year. Not to mention our O-line last year!
Look at it this way.... we will have Bohl back again next year
really gonna blame it on the students huh?
Regraudless of the poor student showing, we flat out just didnt want it enough.
Please, friends. Optimism is the course.
A blowout at UNI by the Bison straightens the ship. That's all we need. End of story.
