I haven't been following this thread but if you mean the original tweet that kicked this all off it was "congratulations to George Floyd who has been drug free for a month."

That's it? Good grief the hyper sensitivity is out of control. It's amazing how few media outlets fail to mention the dude tested positive for meth & fentanyl. No excuse for what the cops did just saying if you don't break the law(pass counterfeit money) and don't take illegal drugs your chances of a police encounter probably are reduced greatly. Maybe auditman can run some numbers on that? It would be useful information for the youngsters.

Just like you can't penalize folks for making tasteless jokes, you can't penalize them for taking a knee. Just a bit more nuanced, but almost certainly protected.
I actually wouldn't have a huge problem with this.
While professional athletes have zero right to make game day an opportunity for political statements. Students are different.
Now, I might quit donating to Team Makers, but I'm rather okay with the idea from a constitutional perspective.

I agree with you entirely. A University Campus (especially a public school) should set an example of free speech rights, even covering the stupid or offensive.

If you agree it's the students right it doesn't make any sense to pull money from teamakers win by definition it's out of their control.

Just because someone has the right to do something, doesn’t mean I have to agree with it. Team makers is a way to pay the players. If I see players kneel this fall, I will think long and hard about pulling my donation.

That's obviously you're right. I just see it as punishing an organization that has no control over the behavior you do not agree with.
I also feel it's akin to cancel culture.

My family would likely pull donations as well.

In an effort to force the students to not kneel?
