Reid committed to NDSU on Monday.

I did some searching on Wissports.net....

I found this article that said NDSU was recruiting Rickey Hagen from Colfax Wisc. 6'2 230lb LB/DE/TE.
He also may be our 5th commit. I searched their messageboard and somebody posted a thread congratulating him on accepting a scholarship to NDSU...

wow good find student!
on the messageboard it doesnt sound like he is a hard worker...wonder how that will work for him at NDSU???
i couldnt get the one link to work but found this one...

dont know if that was the one you had?
Western Michigan sure comes
up a lot in trying to recruit.
I would think we would have
a edge on a lot of these teams.
Zac Elgie of Minot has opted to play baseball at the U. of Kansas. Would have been nice to see him in a Bison FB and/or BB uniform.
A couple guys named here who are getting interest from NDSU.

Further proof we have a long way to go when a few players are leaning torward Duluth and Minnesota State. We would beat those teams by 50 points. I hope it has more to do with academics or local ties. More reason to expand TV coverage and marketing into Minnesota. I think we're headed in the right direction.
I don't think they have offered any of those guys yet, but they are probably somewhere on the radar. If history is any strategy the Bison will target the in-state and local kids that have the talent to play, and offer them. Then go after the kids that are waiting on Big 10 teams to offer but ultimately don't. And then work the Jr. college route for areas of need that it's hard to get top quality recruits here for, such as DE and CB.
These are probably just good players they have in mind, in case the guys they really want, do get the Big 10 offers.
Has anyone heard anything on Dillion Forbes who wound up going to Harper CC last year? I thought that I read somewhere that he is still interrested in coming to NDSU if he can get his grades taken care of.
Looks like he was 8th on the team in tackles this year.
One of the moderator types on minnesotapreps.com are saying that NDSU may have offered Mike Rallis from Edina (looks like he already has offers from UNLV and Wyoming). Totally unconfirmed... he's a heck of an athlete and would probably play safety.
Another thought that NDSU had offered Glencoe-Silverlake QB/Ath Matt Muenchow. Again, not sure what position NDSU would be thinking of for him - all I know is that he has track speed.
Just about December first. I have heard that for some that is kinda the magic date. I am guessing we hear a few more verbals in the first 10 days of December. I could be way off base but I have heard a few RUMORS. Notice Rumors is capitalized, they are just that so take this as you wish.
yeah that is what i was waiting for!
Good to see Reid brought into the fold. Looks like he'll give us a solid prospect at either end or SLB. I hope he ends up at end for the simple reason that we've had a harder time recruiting D-lineman recently than any other position.
According to CougersDen.com, NDSU has offered Demetrius Dugar a CB from Houston, TX (Aldine). He also has offers from two of the service academies and apparently Northwestern is close to offering (I'm guessing that means Demetrius is pretty good in the classroom).
You may have to be a subscriber to see the article, but here is the link anyway:

Look in first page to see a dozen or so new WI prospects courtesy of Wissports.net.
According to one article, the WISS article that confirmed his verbal - he was "promised" the opportunity to compete as a starter at MLB. Very interesting. Versatile prospect though, that's good for us.
I think every player has the opportunity to compete.
NDSU has offered the Glencoe Silver Lake QB.
Reid has impressive credentials. I think he's about the #7 rated overall college prospect in the entire state of Wisconsin. (#3 LB) He said he was "blown away" by the facilities at NDSU.
My hunch is that the new BB arena, and an upgraded BSA would also help potential football recruits, and their parents, believe that all they are coming to a university that is first class in all areas of athletics.
One thing I know that a lot of the players (younger ones) are impressed with is the upgrades to the Wellness Center. It's just first class all the way.
Anybody know if they are going after Horner from South, I see he was the North Dakota Gatorade player of the year?
I wonder if they would play him Def. or Off. could he be a SS or something to that effect?
i think there was a post previously saying that his mom talked about him playing defense...who knows how credible that is...
