The time I was there several years ago the players unloaded at the north west corner, and it was 3 hrs prior to game or so.
The best way to find out where is check with any Frisco police officer at the stadium, they will know when and where they are unloading.
Go early the crowd will be heavy around the walkway to the stadium.

If wandering around Dallas look for the Muffler Man statues, there are several.

8:30 is the visiting team's bus arrival and walk to the stadium, 8:45 for the home team. Bison are the home team. Get there early for front row for your son...he'll really like this...very fun.

Bartlesville, OK. Midway Cafe. Good, reasonable road food.

I'm starting to wonder if NDSU is the home team since the team and allotment tickets are on the east (non-pressbox) sideline. Every year in the past the team on the east sideline was the road team. I thought starting 2 or 3 years ago the higher seed was the home team (and prior to that it was determined by a coin flip before the semis). I haven't seen any indications as to what jerseys the team is wearing so it may be that NDSU is the road team.

GoBison.com says we're the home team and our sideline is opposite of the press box.

That's where I live...great to know Bison fans are coming through!

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
Why does everyone want to avoid Wichita and drive further west? Maybe it matters where you come from but we've taken 75 south 6 years now and had no issues what so ever.

Team will be wearing yellow jerseys and green helmets. NDSU chose the East side despite being the home team. I'm assuming so that entire side is all Bison fans (looks great on TV since that's the side that shows the most) and you also have the sun shining down on you which feels AMAZING this time of year. Can't wait for Saturday!

Good to know. I wonder if it was NDSU's call what sideline they wanted since they were the home team and they chose the east sideline. In any case it'll be interesting to see what jerseys the team chooses to wear. On one hand it would be nice to see the traditional yellow helmet with green jersey and yellow pants home combo since they've never worn it in Frisco but I'm also superstitious and they've never lost in Frisco and they've never lost period in the green helmets or yellow jerseys.
Don't mess with karma I say and go with harvest helmet, yellow jersey, and green pants.

Fyi. Just now 3 car accident about 2 miles into south Dakota on i29. Airbags deployed but everyone appears ok. But the cars are in both lanes so take care trying to get through there.
The very second we crossed into SD the road turned to ice.

Cannot wait. Are you there already and if not, when do you arrive?

I have a Bison tracker question. Green dots with a grey circle around it, what does that mean?

The bigger the circle the more people under that dot.

Said it earlier but I'll say it again. I29 in SD from the border on are total shit. Lots of snow on the roads, icy patches everywhere.

We will be leaving tonight around 6 and driving through the night. With SD roads and the possible weather in OK and north TX, hoping to make it in around noon tomorrow. Have a first timer with me. Wife is staying home. When are you getting in? I'm sure you've stated when in a thread somewhere, but I haven't had time to read much. Just checking on here for any possible road updates, food options, etc.

Flying from North Carolina tomorrow. Due in mid-afternoon. Drive safely! It sounds a little sketchy.

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
Needed a snack before dinner tonight so we stopped at Taco Cabana. Pretty good tacos. Plus they had a salsa bar for condiments. 4 tacos and 2 drinks= 10.00
They also serve beer for those with the thrist.
The place is just north of the Comfort Suites in Frisco. A little strip mall thats right off the the Dallas freeway. Exit on Eldorado.

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
Made it to Twin Peaks Frisco for the Brakedown show. We are the only Bison fans here, other than the Brakedown crew. Twin Peaks won’t broadcast the show on their sound system dang it. At least Nate Tanguay stopped by to chat.

We are going to Babes House of Chicken in Frisco. All sides are served family style. Great fresh chicken tenders. Chicken fried steak etc etc. They give you a bowl of gravy to dunk them in. Home made bisquits.

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
Trying so hard to wait the entire 12 hours before I'm scheduled to leave. If I wake up at 4am, I'm going.
-
Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
FYI it’s off and on sleeting/freezing rain in the OKC metro. Forecast models keep changing, winter storm warning in effect for central and south central OK, most of the I-35 corridor. Supposedly 3-6 inches of snow back in the forecast.

Had a round bale fall off a semi right in front of me just north of OKC around 3 oclock today....don't think you could have drove a pin up my ass with a sledge hammer!

Thought about trying the Hard Eight tonight, went to Rudy’s instead. Place only had 5 customers at 5:30. Brisket was good, ribs were good, pulled pork was too vinegary, sides (beans and potatoes) were nothing special. Excited to try more BBQ tomorrow. And I want those Texas twinkies. Oh, and we were the third couple of NDSU fans at the wild pitch today, and there are Bison fans at our hotel. Have seen no red or ewu yet.
How was Hard Eight? I smoke a lot of meat and I’m pretty particular with BBQ. I want to taste juicy delicious smoked animal flesh, not sauce and not a bunch of seasonings for a rub, unless it can compliment and enhance flavor, not mask it.

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
Just crossed into South Dakota. Road seems wet on driving side and dry on the passing lane. Looks nothing like pictures I've seen. Shoulders are clear back to the edge of the pavement. Will update as we go.

Pretty much exploded on impact but I did have to get in the median a bit to miss the core.

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
What's everyone doing about the weather in OKC and what's coming tomorrow? We are stopping in Wichita for the night as planned but the weather looks like it's going to be terrible tomoorw around okc. Now easy way around it either from the looks of it.
