Friends we are. I'm not picking any fights. Just pointing out that when you performed your excellent public service game tape review you were forced to decide whether a particular play was a designed pass or some sort of fake by the QB. Odds are that you are correct in your determinations since you are a studious observer (you are right?) But there is a non-zero probability of subjectivity bias being introduced.
Mostly I was trolling the data lying public though.
BTW, I don't think you ever really said after your review exercise: are you now either more emphatic, less emphatic or neutral that the qb run game was not effective in that contest?
Ahhh...but then we get into the problem of effective vs desired results. A play (run repeatedly) may be effective...but does it reach the desired results? I would think the desired results include developing the offense, keeping the defense guessing, keeping your qb healthy, etc. Even though the qb run game was effective, I would argue it did not complete many desired results.
