It got my wife, which is rare. She showed me her phone at dinner, and the Economic Times story was the first one in her feed.

I hope so. I think he could really prosper under KOC and would be a decisive upgrade from Mullens. Seems hard to believe the Vikings will go into the draft with no backup at all. Could be Carson's asking price is still too high for teams looking for backups. Who knows.

The Vikings do want to maximize their compensation picks, so as the article VirginiaBison posted mentions, the Vikings would lose one if signing Wentz, or any other free agent for 4 million or more.
The Vikings have traded away a bunch of picks already for this year’s draft, and a few for next year.
So hopefully they have a verbal understanding and can sign Wentz from April 29th on…
