Getting 25k on a regular basis would be tough in my opinion. The fbs schools have 4 times the enrollment we have. Much larger alumni base.

I think you are right though that it'd be tough. They(P5) do have a lot bigger alumni bases than NDSU has. But some of them are not particularly large schools. Clemson has less than 25K students for example and they have a large venue.

One of the key reasons I believe UND struggled in their transition is they were playing all their games outside their recruiting footprint. That will be one big improvement they should be able to make in recruiting now that they are in the Summit/MVFC. The MW is a better football conference than the MAC, but NDSU would likely be much more successful in the MAC than the MW. Going the MW route would be a huge risk in recruiting (all sports not just football) and fundraising.
