Wentz is better than Minshew and Zappe and if he doesn't sign elsewhere if Wentz decided he wanted to go back to the Chiefs Reid would take him back in a second.

Also it doesn’t work like that. Teams don’t sign backup QBs and then drop them two weeks later because another mediocre backup is available. If they wanted Wentz he’d be in the team.

I think this is true but also not really applicable to Wentz/KC. I think Wentz is still looking to at least compete for a starting role and that isn’t an option in KC.

If Wentz was willing to be a backup with no chance to compete for a starting job he would still be a Chief.

Ah I see what you’re saying now. That makes more sense, but I think it’s a done deal now, very unlikely he goes back to KC, and even if he shows interest, I doubt KC would cut Minshew for a higher priced Wentz and lose the money Minshew signed for. They signed Minshew knowing Wentz was gone.
