Re: NDSU Football TV Ratings
Comscore (not Neilson)
its basically only Direct/Dish TV (not over the air or cable population)
13.7 rating for NDSU/Butler... (Vikings games are typically 24-25 ratings)
plus alot of fans were at the actual game. this is a good solid # 13.7 = 30,000 people on average in Fargo only (not entire DMA)

Doesnt the DMA go all the way to Valley City, El Forko, Wahpeton, and western Minnesota? Plus the games are on the western ND NBC affiliates too
Re: NDSU Football TV Ratings
1.738M on average tuned into the NDSU/Illinois St game last Saturday on ESPN. Down slightly from last year.

It did improve on the College Gameday's numbers that pre-empted it and was better than both college basketball games that followed it. The only thing more watched on ESPN on Saturday was the Heisman presentation.

Very interesting. I would’ve guessed something like the UFC prelims would’ve been way up there, even on the deuce.

It goes to show the power of being on the mothership over the deuce. Look back on NDSUstudent's OP at the start of the thread... this quarterfinal game has always been the most viewed game each year except for 2017 when they moved it to ESPN2 for some reason and viewership was more than cut in half from the other years.
I'm really interested to see what the title game ends up at on ABC this year since that'll give another bump even over ESPN. The Celebration Bowl has drawn 2M+ viewers every year of it's existence since it's always been on ABC and, while the bands are better, the caliber of football is far below what the FCS championship will have on display.

No surprise the Heisman ceremony out-drew everything on Saturday. Still, not a bad showing.
Also had the Army-Navy game that afternoon. Not sure if that affected our numbers though.

Assume these ratings are still higher than any single event in UN_ history....

Easily.

So more people watched NDSU v Illinois State than watched the Sun Belt championship game, the MWC championship game, and the MAC championship game... combined?

We've got the college football stage all to ourselves would be nice if we could at least score a touchdown. :hide:
