There is a big blank space in the north central part of the country on this map of FBS teams shown at https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/com...ootball_teams/

This is the best chance for a football only invite since the Sunbelt allowed football only members. I would wholly disagree that the FCS is a sinking ship compared to the CUSA. The CUSA is on the verge of falling apart with some of its members with no where to go. We cant jump on that sinking ship unless we know it is going to float after we make that jump!

Yep. Now the problem they have is having a stable conference of the Olympic Sports. You can't have football only without them.
Here's a bat shit crazy idea. Summit League West (current Summit) Summit League East (remainder of CUSA) with a little shifting around
You need 6 in each half for a conference championship game

That's one of the things I love about living where I do (not far from you). I grew up in Minot and when I tell people how far away it is I explain Minneapolis is about halfway. And Minneapolis is far. We are also closer to Orlando than Minot.

There is an amazing new invention called aviation. If you fly, you can pretty much go anywhere in the US pretty easily and quickly.

But not inexpensive. But this is already true for much of the MVFC. Having all 4 Dakota schools and potentially St. Thomas will help. Not sure if the teams bus to UNI.

When I lived in the Florida Panhandle, I was only an hour further from Chicago than Fargo is lol.
We are in the middle of nowhere and that's very okay with me
