You know this story ends with the 11-6 colts being favorites in the playoffs only for Carson to test positive for Rona.

I have had that feeling as well and then the media rips him all week because he isn’t vaccinated yet all the vaccinated players have already had it as well.

Why is it vaxed an unvaxed and not immune an un immune?
-
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Because it’s political. I would guess the main goal is ultimately vaccine passports or something along those lines

Because nobody can pronounce a person immune with 100% certainty.
OTOH, you either had a needle in your arm or you didn't.
That is why.

if I lived. you'll live.
Wentz had an amazing throw & great 4th quarter. 25 td 6 I nts is a good ratio in the NFL
Carson is like ranked 9th 11th and 15 for QBR , tds , yards.

Wentz is playing good not great. Unfortunately the national media seems to hammer him a little more than most. If you think Murray or Wentz are having the better year the stats indicate it leans toward Wentz, but based on the media you would think it isn't even that close and that Murray is way better.
Wentz has some areas he needs to improve on and to me it almost seems like his concussion made him jittery as he hasn't quite been the same with his confidence in the pocket as before that injury.

I've always thought Carson was better on the move... I mean, he can do things in the passing game while running that maybe a handful of players can do. I'm sure he was told to get rid of the ball almost immediately this last game since their OL was gone.

hard to ask him to do much more, jesus the entire O-line was out on Saturday, I think he has plenty of confidence

The game winning drive to have spike proteins

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Carson has been great this year and is a perfect fit for the Colts offense. Frank Reich is proving to be a total stud . Had Carson had a full camp and not sprained 2 ankles on 1 play, he would be top 5 in the NFL.

Let’s compare passing numbers of 2021 Wentz to 2021 Pro-Bowler Lamar Jackson:

NFL does not have a targeting foul. They have a foul that has to do with initiating contact and punishing with the helmet. I'm not sure of the specifics, but I know it's very different than NCAA targeting. I believe the contact with the helmets though is why this was roughing.

Thanks for the explanation. I mostly watch cfb so that's my default understanding of football rules.

Carson on the COVID reserve list. Must quarantine for 10 days since not vaxxed.

This couldn’t have worked out better. Back in time to beat the jags and won’t be tested for 50 days. BIG bullet dodged.

Very true but the media is going to go off the rails on it

Does anyone actually give a dam what the media says these days? And do you care about those peoples opinions who do give a dam what the media says?

Media is absolutely nuts and fails to recognize that vaccinated have to quarantine as well. What if he already had Covid during the summer. Why get a shot with natural immunity but no one wants to discuss that.

This. I don’t recall any time in my life when so many people view major network media as pure propaganda.

Completely agree, but as we saw in Philly: most NFL fans are stupid and listen to the media narratives.
Probably including me, although I try to avoid getting sucked in

I love how they bash him right away but Aaron rodgers got a pass. That's what is wrong.

I'll also know it's a real pandemic when an actual healthy nfl athlete fucking dies of covid. Then it's real.
How many dead nflers broz?????

Agree with Scottie here. Both decided not to get vaccinated but Wentz did things right and followed through with the obligations of his decision. One person I can disagree with and still respect, Rodgers... not so much.
-
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
CDC is changing its quarantine rules and the NFL is expected to follow. If he’s just a close contact -5 days, if he’s positive but no symptoms -5 days. It’s science.

Containment measures are always a balance between health and economic interests. With effective vaccines available we could just stop making any considerations for the unvaccinated who make up the vast majority of hospitalizations.
I hope Wentz being out doesn't cost them in their playoff positioning.
