For the Amount of money we invest. Ndsu Paying 300k to play teams like Valpo is depressing.

And no doubt the non-con helped that depression.
If NDSU can’t get a FBS game, then it’s really important to get
a top 15 top 10 FCS game and that didn’t happen this year.
Albany had some nice players, maybe even a few future NFLers,
but they weren’t that team.
Did the country dealing with covid affect the scheduling?
Were teams reluctant to travel to Fargo?
One cupcake on the schedule is normal, but 3 games that were not close……
If you had to have such an easy non-con, at least this was the fall season right after the covid spring so the players get a break.
At least next year has Arizona on the schedule.
Although Northern Arizona took some of the mystery out of that match-up.
North Carolina A & T adds a new name.
2023 is Eastern Washington @ Twin Cities, Maine and Central Arkansas.
24 is Colorado (hope they improve by then) East Tennessee and Towson

NDSU hasn't played in a BIG game since Iowa 2016 to be honest.

2019 NC was fun as hell, but when it was the 8th time winning, I doubt I would go again should they make it, been there did that 8 times, at least bowl games are scattered in different locals, switch things up a bit

Yes, the Iowa game was a really good day.
Will never forget the Iowa fans afterwards and
their trail of tears.
Too bad for Chapo - he missed some really good Bison games since Iowa.
Well, at least he has the Gophers, who provide him with everything
he needs, well, except for that pesky ban over at Gopherhole.
And the Gophers never disappoint……wait, what???
Re: A new and better FBS thread
We haven't had a lot of big games since Iowa, three of them involve JMU though who might not be around much longer. FCS football is becoming overly regional, it is slowly turning into the D2 of old. Teams keep leaving and nobody is left to fill the gaps. Our admin's priority needs to be getting us up to the FBS.
I don't really even care if regionally we fit in the FCS, our regional rivals are all basketball or hockey schools for the most part. They aren't really our peers when it comes to football.

FCS is getting bad, a DIII school was allowed to jump up, a full conference with an Autobid that isn't scholarship, we spend more on a Semi to haul gear than some teams spend on their facilities...sad
Was fun at first but now its showing, things need to change and hopefully the administration are just being totally hush and have actually been talking, which I feel a bit more confident about.
