Thats 100% correct. Thats how rivals ranks classes, they average the "stars" and give points based on that.

Suprised UNI didn't make the list.
Rumors are swirling that Nick Rengel has left Minnesota and has contacted NDSU.

This would be amazing. We could use a stud like this kid. Big athlete. Had a batch of legit offers out of HS. I would love to finally get a transfer that works out!
What position does he play?
Wow! Talk about an odd combination. Not too many DE/WR combo's out there.
I was guessing TE with his measureables.
I'm still hoping for another CB with the last couple scholarships. I think we're thin there in the last couple classes.
So Pierre
RFr Williams
FR Colvin
I think we need more than 1 per year. Although I suspect CB is one of the quickest positions for a Juco to be able to jump in and play. Maybe that is the plan. One young guy and one juco each year.
I think the Nick Rengel deal is interesting. He had a handful of offers, Minnesota, several MAC schools, and NDSU. NDSU is now looking at his tape after he contacted them, according to what one of the coaches told me.
So, Rengel was offered a scholarship by NDSU to be part of the 2009 class. I interpreted what I was told is that they are totally re-evaluating him, which I think is a good thing.
My impression, for what it is worth, is that they are evaluating him at the DE position because they feel flush at FB and TE right now. Some recent losses in the DL have probably made that prudent.
Good info and glad to hear it. I went back and read everything I could find yesterday about Rengel and watched some highlight video. He is fast and strong, but doesn't have much wiggle. The Gophers originally told him that they saw him as a "Dallas Clark type" TE or H-back. Sounds like he was working at FB recently. The Bison do seem pretty deep at those positions, and I was thinking to myself that he has the physical tools to be a good DE at the FCS level. If there is mutual interest, this could be a good fit!
if he could pan out to be a stud DE that would be awesome....im just a little skeptical that he couldnt hack it at a mediocre goofer team and has decided to just quit, im not gonna get all excited yet but i hope he really does pan out wherever he goes
Let keep our fingers crossed and hope we can get that Wisconsin kid on the line.
BTW, for those who didn't see the BI print edition here's the article on the 2010 class by Swany.
Beating His Chest
Bohl has great expectations for newest Bison
Craig Bohl isn’t the type to wear his emotions on his sleeves, at least not on the football field. Entering his eighth season as North Dakota State’s head football coach, the even-keeled Bohl has proven cooler than the other side of the pillow, showing an emotional spectrum that normally ranges from stoic to reserved. If you’re looking for a rah-rah, Lane “just spell my name right” Kiffin kind of guy to self-promote, bet the house and raise the stakes on your football team, Bohl isn’t your guy.
At least he wasn’t...

I mentioned his commitment a while back, but here's a newspaper article about Osceola (WI) WR Tevin Pittman committing to NDSU.

Thanks Marlins, that's a good article to see what he had to say along with his coach, family, and principal.
Update on Gebhart of Sioux Falls. In Track he has posted a 10.70 in the 100 and 22.4 200 so far this spring.
Just to compare Jackson ran a a 10.89 to take first at the Bison Open yesterday according to the paper today. Gebhart will look great in the green and yellow.
It looks like we are taking a look at this guy.
TyRance Stuckey: CB from Harper J.C.
Nice find! Same JC as Dillon Forbes.

I'm sure one of these juco cb's will be converted to a safety. we need depth there.
Anybody know the academic status of Marcus Williams? I know he was 2009 but since Lakes says he is all world I think the Bison could use him.
Lakes, any idea? You must be buds with him by now.
M WILL is ready to go and will be at Bison Football Practice #1.
RIvals reporting NDSU recruit Daniel Davie has committed to Nebraska. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...el-Davie-99350
