I don't. I live in MN. For a very loooooooong time. I consider myself... well, a citizen exercising their free will.
And no, the RRV should not be its own state. Unless they are willing to accept the very harsh consequences.

What 'very harsh consequences?'

I take MN over ND 10 times out of 10. North Dakota, especially out west, is a cesspool.

Financially, it is an economic wash whether you live in NoDak or Minnesota. One of the reasons I continue to live in NoDak is I can be a big fish in a small pond and in a somewhat small way, make a difference. I would be lost in the shuffle of all the people in Minnesota. Plus I think NoDak residents are more salt of the earth.

Seems a bit harsh?
You've been to MSP, right?

Huge understatement, actually.
Edit: pretending MSP is some horror show just makes you look like a cowardly idiot.

Another person's cesspool is another man's treasure.
Are there crappy areas of North Dakota, yes, and the same can be said about Minnesota and no I'm not dissing the "crown jewel" MSP area.

Huge get for Nebraska to get the #1 QB recruit in the nation. Hope that helps keep Payton here.
Sorry for the heart attack thread bump. There just been some speculation of Nebraska wanting Payton. Don't see Raiola going there to sit.

Love Cole, but if he goes to Nebraska he’s going there to sit or to be some sort of RB. Raiola is a much better Qb option than Cole

"Nebraska is in my blood" Raiola says... I guess that's why he's already "committed" to Ohio St and Georgia earlier in the recruiting process.

I was hoping to see this, Raiola’s uncle is on Nebraska’s staff, plus the uncle and Dad both played for the Cornhuskers

And I believe it took Thee Ohio State bringing in a transfer afterwards to get him to switch…sigh

My friends in Nebraska said 1.2 million for the QB.

I'm not real familiar with the forum, but if it's anything like the Argus it is overpriced if it's free.

That really sucks. I don't think the Cole Peyton haters realize the impact to the team.

I’d venture to guess that there’s zero Cole Peyton “haters” on bisonville.

Not a Payton hater at all. Seems like a good dude. But nothing killed more drives this year than taking the best player on Offense off the field for a play or 2.
Killed the first 2 drives of the 2nd half vs Colorado by doing that.
-
Re: 2021 Verbal: Cole Payton
Not hater but we just beat SDSU and he did virtually nothing in that game. The way we used him and Cam this year was just way too clunky.
-
Re: 2021 Verbal: Cole Payton
I'd rather have Cole healthy but a silver lining of the injury is that maybe it'll lead to more under center formation and run plays out of the I formation. Since defenses will know that NDSU won't be too eager to run Cam a ton. Give me some Marty Brown with a (mostly) full head of steam when he gets the ball and I think we can have some fun!

Man that sucks. 6 weeks immobilized in a sling if it's a SLAP repair, at least mine was. No movement, fairly long painful rehab after, 6 months before it was fully back to normal again.

The way we’ve always used him has been way too clunky. I have said this all year but I think the way our coaches have used CP to this point (even including last year) has been a waste and will ultimately go down as a missed opportunity to use maybe the most physically gifted player NDSU has had outside of a lineman in my lifetime.
This whole “is he a QB, is he a RB, is he a TE, etc.” has done very little for his actual development as a football player. Jack of all trades, master of none. I’ve said it all year I don’t know if he’s even going to be the starter next year. Shame

Great athlete without a doubt. But is he a great football player?

I would venture to say that he's one of the better football players on our team, and would probably start at every Valley or Big Sky school sans SDSU, USD, and MSU.
It just so happens to be that his primary position is occupied by the best football player in FCS and any of the other positions he could play are occupied by other very good football players.
Is he better than Marty or BK? Is he better than our top 4 receivers? Is he better than Stoffel at TE? No, he's not, because he's been a quarterback here his whole career. But you could also easily say that all those guys that are better than him at their primary position are no where near as good as him at QB.

I'm not sure but I don't think he's a great QB. I'm not a hater but I just don't think he's a great QB. Should have tried to convince him to switch to TE. He's a poor mans Tim Tebow. Sorry he's injured but I'm excited to see what Hayes can do if given the chance.

Agree - I think it will help if anything. No more obvious run up the middle out of shotgun every time Cole comes in kind of plays

TP mentioned in the press conference about immediately building the offense around him in February. Unless some good transfer falls into our lap, I think he will be our QB next year.
