Coach Cignetti has done an amazing job at IU. They haven't played the big boys yet, but Nebraska was a quality opponent, and they destroyed them. They've beat the teams they've been losing to and aren't making the same mistakes that used to haunt them. Their next big games are Washington and Michigan, but both are down from last year, and they have them at home. It's possible they could go into the Ohio State game 10-0! Crazy for IU.

And leaving that game 11-0 is no longer a 'pipe dream' either!
I'm so impressed with Cignetti!

I'm so not sure how good they are but I don't doubt that is a possibility.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Iowa State now 7-0 on the season.
Eli Green with 6 receptions so far for 90 yards.
The two leading receivers are seniors and, iirc, returning starters from last season.

Not that we *need* him but could you imagine all our WR depth… our 4th stringer would be WR1 on any FCS team…

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Just doesn't seem fair....We got Zeb and they got Eli? WTF?

Anyone see his post game with the FOX crew? What a dick bag!!! And what 5 championships in a row did JMU have that he was talking about?
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Cignetti is big bitch.
Impressed with Indiana as a whole. Though their QB having thumb surgery probably messes up their trajectory.
That guy is like 35 years old.

Their backup has a possibility to be very good. He initially went to Tennessee and transferred back to IU. His brother is NBA player Trace Jackson-Davis, who also played at IU. He was the starting QB for a 3-time state championship HS team, which is really hard to do. I'm curious to see how he does.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
The first G5 playoff game is on. Cbs sports.
Boise leads 3-0.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
7-1 SEMO down 14-0 to 2-5 Gardner-Webb
6-1 Rhode Island up 24-14 over Maine with 2 minutes to go
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
SEMO up 21-14 in the 3rd quarter after spotting a 14 point lead.
Rhode Island wins 24-14
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Hoosiers haven't lost a quarter all season.
Yes you read that right.

Man back to back sdsu losses would be some chicken soup
Granted they’d be made the 4, or worse, the 8 seed so better be careful what I wish for.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Passing on a crossing route to a TE
Good sign for SDSU adjusting their play calling after Fargo
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
And a long pass to WR Wilde near the sideline, another good sign for the Jacks and their playbook
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
7-7 tush push lol. Why do we never do that?
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
A good drinking game phrase might be
“after the loss in Fargo”.*
*well, I have been - that’s 4 so far

I felt so bad for the WR that he fell down on the catch,
should have gotten some more yards.
Turned out, on replay, the ball was a bit slippery…oops
Big change in the game, should have been a fg at minimum

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
UND Fighting Chicken Hawks just lost to Youngstown 41-40 in overtime. Bubba went for two to win it after a TD and it failed.

UND hasn’t won a road game since Murray State last year.

Do they have enough home games left to make the playoffs?
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Are these the same announcers for our game last week?

Upon looking it up myself like some kind of animal, thats a no. They have to beat sdsu and usd at home lol. They look like probably 6-6. Which I really doubt makes the playoffs.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Gronowski and Bauman are missing some open receivers.

I was just going to post this. Bad throws and just plain drops.
This game looks more like bad football than great defense.
Did our game last week look like this to everyone else? I did not see it like that last week lol.
They look bad lol
Usd has a couple really good players. I think our QB is wayyyy better than theirs and our TEAM is better than theirs. A lot better.
Also, sdsu's stands are surprisingly not full in a 1 score 3 v 4 night game on espntv
