Boy, I know all coaches are going to say only good things about their players but that coach definately wasn't shy about making predictions.:D:D
Either way welcome to NDSU Wesley.

and some video of him

Further Analysis:
In drills, Wesley displays great changed of direction, exceptional acceleration and spectacular hands. He is a great athlete that is a threat to go the distance on every play. On film he displays the same capability. Wesley's route running displays his unique versatility that makes him a great prospect as a running back, receiver or DB. His RB skills, change of direction, burst and incredible legit speed at 4.51 makes him a bonafide D-1a player.

The depth this team is developing at running back is almost ridiculous! There is no established feature back with the departure of Paschall, but..
McNorton
Voigtlander
Ojuri
Sigers
***
Ryan Smith
Michael Allen
Wesley Hudson
That is a nice looking list! Wouldn't be surprised if one or more of these guys ends up at WR or DB. Voigtlander could also play some FB.
Hypothetical depth chart including only scholarship players in last 2 recruiting classes:
QB: Jensen, Thorton
RB: Ojuri, Sigers, Smith, Allen, Hudson
FB: Bruhn, Grothmann
WR: Powell-Calhoun, Wahlo, Vraa, Gebhart
TE: Nelson, Vaadeland
OL: Jacobs, Jerve, Hinz, Turner, Pomerenke, Schueller
DT: Perry, Gimmestad, Juckem?
DE: Jirik, Juckem, Drevlow, Hardie
ILB: Olson, Emmanuel
OLB: Jemison, Littlejohn, Carter, Gefroh, Beck
CB: Pierre, Williams, Colvin
S: Ollmann, Van Voorhis, Heagle, Dudzik, Pfeiffer
Still need a PK and P.
Can you say reload!
I was kind of thinking that Wesley Hudson is destined for a DB spot but it's great having a guy who can play so many positions.
More info...Wow do we have some freakish athletes in this class!!!
SUPER 11 ALL-PURPOSE BACKS
1. Wesley Hudson, 6-0, 190, 4.32, Katy Morton Ranch, TX - Hudson is a Super Combine Freak, but those words do not tell the entire story, because he may be the most distinguished Super Combine Freak in the entire country. His Super Combine bests are mind-boggling, including a 4.32 in the forty, a 39 inch vertical jump, a 4.02 in the shuttle, and 24 reps of 185 pounds. Hudson is also a victim of Hurricane Katrina. As a youth, he played football for John Curtis in the New Orleans area, but he and his family were forced to move during Hurricane Katrina. As a sophomore and junior, He played behind Mike Vinson, who signed with TCU, but he will be the featured running back for his team as a senior. He has put up these freaky numbers in some Super Combines and I really like his attitude and overall potential. He also has been very impressive in 7on7 competition and I have invited him to play in the 2010 All-American Bowl Game Classic and he has accepted. Hudson has good grades and he is a great running back and receiver that the Irish could and should be recruiting.
Great find! Here's the ref: http://www.maxemfingerrecruiting.com...=452&Itemid=77
In the back of my mind I was wondering if he was one we are reaching on with grades but it is good to see in that article that he has good grades.
where in the heck is the kicker? on paper this is a great class if we get a kicker.
Whereever he plays, I hope he turns out to be a playmaker.
Welcome Wesley!!!!!!!
I wouldn't be surprised to see this aberdeen kid end up with NDSU.
Their were 4 ranked kickers in SD this year: 1 signed with USD and the 2 others signed with SDSU (one as a punter). The one remaining is Evan Nolte who had interest from SDSU.

I wouldn't be surprised either if NDSU just goes with Janstram as their kickers.

If you look at these rankings. They have Wesley the number one rated all-purpose back in the nation.
Not sure how this kid fell through the cracks. The only thing I can tell is he played behind a kid that went to TCU as a junior and he played for a team that was 1-9 with some recruiting issues(previous coaching staff let go)
Can this even be right??
The kid looks like a heck of an athlete, he should be able to play somewhere no doubt. Especially since he has the same speed as Chris Johnson and Joey Galloway. But, as Sioux fans have been told continuously, the best way to evaluate the talent of a prospect is to look at who else offered. Did he have any other offers to use as a comparison?
I agree, no way he is a 4.3..but he did run a 4.51 last spring and a low 11 second 100m so he is fast. I would guess in the 4.4 range somewhere.
Not sure on other offers. But to be ranked that high says something for his athletic ability. Maybe he's not a great FB player?? Who knows..but an athlete non the less...
I agree the kid looks great on paper but 1+1 doesn't seem to add up to 2. He has great measurables but a 4.3 probably not. I saw one article that said a offer from NAU and I think the other was Stoneybrook.
what kid does UND have coming from Cali that is similar?

Good one! Must have taken your ginko biloba this morning.
Offers are only one way for evaluation. The others are his stat's, smarts, leadership and whatever else the coaches are looking for. Obviously if UNI, SDSU, NDSU, SIU are after a recruit it would give you a fussy warm feeling if you got him. There are other factors as to why a kid has offers or not. Time of the year he committed is a big one. MN has some juniors committed already for 2011, I bet not one has another offer. This kid was hurt much of his junior year so that rating systems didn't have him their sights. Maybe a diamond in the rough maybe not. You can't teach speed. Siouxfan you have a LB from AZ that runs a 4.85 and all your guys over at ss.com are jumping for joy.
There are two Colvins. You are referring to Derrius Colvin.
The new recruit is Zach Colvin, 5-9, 152, Superior, WI, DB/KR 8/9/2009 WisSports.net

Dan, you say here that offers are only one way for evaluation. In the attached thread, you say the rule of thumb for recruiting is how many offers he has had. Which is it? Which ever one works with your argument at the time? But, I'm not here to get in a pissing match - just curious what the final verdict is.

I would be willing to compare NDSU's class with UND's if anyone would be willing to compete. But, UND fans don't want to talk specifics. They trust Muss as a talent evaluator.
7-7 this year. Again. Win a recruting battle against ANYONE and we will talk.
