I ask this with no jackassery, but how does most of the public buy their tickets? I would assume they go to gobison.com and it is pretty plain there.

To be honest, up to this point I don't know if NDSU has had to worry about publicizing the fact that there are tickets available because the Friday tickets sell out rather quickly.

^^^ JMB NDSU and us to some extent and the media talks in August about how EVERY NDSU TICKET IS SOLD OUT FOR SEASON.

so the "plain" people or "bandwagon" people see that and decide then "well honey we aint going to NDSU games, so lets plan our vacation/hunting, etc"

So when the students dont sell out and we have 500 tickets , those people are already gone!

Yeah there was alot of empty seats to start and then after half time there was hardly any students left. Probably the worst showing I've seen in a long time.

There is truth in this. Perhaps as they sell those single game tickets in August they should make it clear, on the site, that tickets do become available. When people ask me about tickets I tell them to call. Josh and co are extremely helpful and their goal is indeed to sell tickets.

Agreed. This is not complicated. When NDSU knows there will be a substantial number of tickets opening up, simply send an e-mail out through the alumni association and put out the press release and ask the paper and TV to run it.

True. And JMB, the point is MANY Bison fans think that every game is sold out, because that is what they heard last August. They don't have a clue that you can still try to get tickets Friday am. Last Friday at 8:15am I went onto the goBison website to see if all of the tickets were gone... and much to my surprise, there were many General Admission tickets available! That tells me that many ppl are not aware of this opprotunity.
Also if possible, and IF the students don't take their tickets, consider opening up 13-15 AA for GA.
Hopefully the students will come to the SDSU game, & this won't be an issue.

Back in 1960, the attendance was so poor, a few football players told the freshmen you had better show up at the games. I know one freshman who answered as soon as you guys can compete I'll show up.

Now someone needs to tell Travis Beck, Kyle Emanuel, etc..., etc...it's like watching Superman play football. If they don't quit picking on those poor mortals.......

Whatever. One week people bitch cause it should have been a blowout. Next they bitch cause they made it look too easy. WTF? We have an awesome team, I love to watch them destroy everyone.

Could be a gopher fan and be in shock cause they won a few straight.

I believe that was around the time my mom claims got tied to the flagpole to the east of the Memorial Union for smarting off to football players. She respected their rebuttal.

Note: In Ma's defense, according to my dad, he brought here to a UND home game and because he worked there, they sat in the faculty section. She stood and cheered for the other team the entire game.

Ah I see. To me the opportunity is to do a better job publicizing that tickets are available every Friday for games (because frankly the tickets are available). The idea of firing off an email to the alumni list isn't a bad idea either if the availability is extraordinarily high. It would also be nice to remove the purchase limit of 2 on those days as well.
