He actually had 27TDs behind the 30th ranked pass protection line in the league last year. Their offense was ranked ninth in total yards. Plus their weapons suck. Their defense blew several double digit leads and their kicker was also hot garbage.

All because of Carson’s lack of leadership, of course

To be fair the Colts issues have been much greater than QB this year. So many injuries, more than I ever remember. Retirement of a couple key players. Receiving staff is good but young. Tons of potential. Traded Hines at RB. Ryan is definitely done but better than the Ehlinger who they tried for a couple weeks. Fired OC and then HC bringing in a great leader but someone who has never coached. Wentz probably dodged a bullet by not being here this year.

Oh. They had plenty of injuries last year. They beat the Cardinals with zero starters on the oline. I think they could have easily competed for that division this year. Too bad the owner is crazy. Did you see that latest interview he gave.

I did not see the interview, but I've heard about it. He is quacky, but in general, he has invested in having a good team for most of the last 25 years and is a great supporter in the community. The high school star finals are at Lucas Oil every year, thanks largely to their partnership. They provide a lot of resources and opportunities to local high schools as well. This is common for every NFL franchise, so nothing unique there, but his good fat outweighs his bad.
Injuries this year are much worse than last year. Shaq Leonard has been out most of the year. Kenny Moore has missed the last several games. Jonathan Taylor has missed several games, including the last 2 and our for the rest of the season. Last year, they had him and Hines, and they've been without both. 3 of their top 4 receivers (behind Taylor and Hines) are also no longer with the team. Jack Doyle was a key part of the offense last year, and he retired. They do have a decent receiving core, including TEs, but they are young. The players they missed against Arizona were COVID related, not injury related. And fair or not, that was blamed on Carson for his leadership in vax. He only overcomes that if he leads them to the playoffs and gets a win or two. I expect them to recover in a year or two because they've done it every time they've tripped.

And I expect them to keep stumbling around in the dark until they trip over another Peyton Manning…
A piece of trash like Irsay criticizing Wentz over leadership. Hit the pipe one more time bro
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Rivera announces that Wentz will start this week against Cleveland. Hopefully he makes the most of it... these last 2 weeks will probably determine whether he's a starter or not on opening day 2023.

The issue with the Colts are 100% because of Irsay. He doesn't get enough shit for how horrible of an owner and "leader" he is. It is always someone else's fault when the Colts fail, he always knows more than everyone else (he was rightfully ripped for the Saturday hire, took a victory lap after Saturday won his first game, and it's been crickets since Saturday has definitively shown he's over his head for many weeks) yet the one connective tissue is his "stewardship".
He may not be Daniel Snyder level bad, but he absolutely sucks.
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Wentz is in a difficult spot. As said he needs to play well this next week otherwise he will be hammered. I am hoping that he continues to learn the offense while injured and that will help his play and he will come out and do well. His holding th ball early could have been two factors: one he was dealing with a completely new offense and second his line was not playing well and it appeared he became a little gun shy which contributed to him holding it a little longer.
