I think I recall you stating here that Delaware was targeting the MAC but now you state that CUSA was their plan. You throw so much shit at the wall hoping to be right. CUSA has now moved in the direction of being a predominantly SE conference. The reality is that if the NDSU leadership had any foresight and vision they could have pushed for CUSA to be a more Centrally located conference. If NDSU, Missouri State, SDSU all would have thrown their hat in the CUSA ring early on I think there would have been a migration toward that geographic region of the country rather than to the SE. Instead the leadership was waiting for the perfect scenario to fall into their laps and it just isn't going to happen. They are going to have to take a risk if they want to get to the FBS. At this point it is becoming more and more likely that we are going to have to hope for a P5 split in order for us to have a chance to play against G5 competition consistently. I don't see many other options. MWC is becoming less and less likely and I don't think any other G5 conferences are going to add teams knowing that the media deals aren't there for them and it would just be splitting the revenue amongst more teams. Our best chance is to get the 4 Dakotas together as the northern pod when the WAC jumps in roughly 5 years. Despite the hate some have for that, it is realistic.

The really funny thing is Navy would be bowl eligible if they beat Army, but that game happens after bowl selection. Army would also be 6-6 with a win but they scheduled 2 FCS teams and only 1 of those counts. Can't have your cake and eat it too.
