Apparently you've never met one. Success means nothing. Just that they are the flagship and we are the AG school.

We must try and pace ourselves this will be a long week. Curb stomp UN_..
I don't speak for everyone, I am sure there are a great variety of opinions on this. For me, this is just another game and should be treated as such. NDSU will likely win, and probably will win by a couple touchdowns, but depending upon the individual matchups as well as who is hot (or cold) that day, UND might have an impressive showing. UND winning is not out of the question, though I don't think it likely.
As for not playing UND, I don't care too much one way or another. I just don't like the over-hyped situation that surrounds a UND vs NDSU game. It is PAROCHIAL. I remember growing up in North Dakota and you go in a store and nothing was from North Dakota. North Dakota is starting to make an impact on a national scale because people are increasingly seeing that the competition is other teams (companies) in the United States. As was shown on the game on Saturday, the competition is some cases is the world (95% of North Dakota's soybeans are exported). As far as I am concerned the people of North Dakota do not need to return to the days when the seemingly most important thing was to be supreme in the state ... time to get rid of this parochial, local, narrow attitude for good. North Dakota people can compete on a national scale, and that (as far as I am concerned) is the better way to think - not just in football but in other things as well.
While I appreciate the NDSU fans, almost no matter where they are coming from, I disagree that the UND game is or should be held in a higher regard than any other game we have. And we do not need to revive the taunt that can be perceived as a racial slur - "Sioux Suck".

I perceive "buffalo rider" to relate to beastiality, and take offense to it :)
I became a Bison fan during the 12 year run in the 80's. When the game was discontinued I was pissed. About 4 or 5 years ago I really didn't care anymore. The only way the Bison get anything from this game is if they blow UND out and ...if we somehow lost this game it would be the worst thing that has happened to this program in a long time .....but to say this game doesn't mean anything...well its Monday afternoon and this thread is rolling!
In reference to the RMU game. I agree that it was loud, but keep in mind that it was 12,000 fans that wanted to be there to be heard and make a difference. First playoff game in the Dome to after waiting for 18 years for that to happen. I feel the UNI game taught the average fan how to cheer at a home game and it was a different kind of energy because we were finally getting over the hump and beating those fools. Not really arguing a point here, just my opinion. As far as this weekend goes, I'll be missing this one for a friends wedding so y'all will have to tell me how it compares. I'm sure the boo birds will be louder than any we've heard in the Dome before.
Oh we know how insignificant ND is. The rest of the nation could care less about this game, but for all of us Bison fans here we have to live and work with the gay riders or whatever they are now.
And if the unthinkable happens, Mother of God!!! That fan base has been stockpiling poo in potato warehouses for a decade.
