Tailgate was fun
The guy in row one sold his tickets to a group of whos. He pukes at a game, throws a bottle at a game, now this.

The clip I saw showed a few signs and to make it look like more they showed a sign twice. PATHETIC. They have to go looking for something negative. Thousands of fans enjoyed a great time, and they couldn't resist going out and finding what they couldn't at the Bison tailgate. SHAMEFUL and PATHETIC.
Carson hit Bonnet in the end zone right in the facemask. I'm shocked the ball didn't stick in his mask helmet area. We need to recruit some te's that can catch.
Lance Dunn is going to be an excellent RB when he gets control of his body.
Carson Wentz is so money to the wide side on the comeback routes he actually throws his wr open.
Darrius Sheppard is an intriguing freshman.
My thoughts about this game? Yawn...... Let's get to the bunnies.

I am all for not trying to play all out offense with a lead like we had midway through the 3rd to the end. But for gods sake don't just run the same 3 plays for the last 1 1/2 quarters kind of thing. Let Stick get some small yardage passing plays, or change up some of the runs instead of running off tackle L and R, or dive plays. The running game looked very good until the second half when play calling became "Run straight ahead and into the back of the O-line then fall down" I think the offense played great in the first half, it sat down in the second for the most part (and that was probably due to coaches pulling them back). The offense took what UND gave them, they stacked the box and the Bison went to the air. Basic football 101 no ifs ands or butts. Special teams needs a little work ( Perkins was hurting so he was not in to receive, others need to step up), a little more work on kickoffs as the directional kicking was either good or lucky (one for sure got away and went out, but 3-4 others went right for the corner and stayed in).Quote:

Games are boring when the other team has finally eclipses 10 yards only because NDSU muffed a punt midway through the 3rd qtr. and your teams offense has already mailed it in

UND is our natural rival. Always have been and always will be.....deal with it. They are not some invented rivalry like SDSU. Regardless of how infrequently NDSU may play them it will always be a big game for both schools. Even though the game ended up as lopsided and boring as predicted I loved it.
For those who were bored because it was not competitive, did you really want it to be tight? Yes, the Bison football program is way ahead of UND's at the present time but I have not forgotten history and it was really enjoyable to get one back from them.

Defense - they played an insanely good game but I don't think we're THAT good. The UND offense isn't very good and I can't imagine how tough it would be for a freshman qb to be successful on that stage.
Offense - I know we put up 35 and could have put up 50 but that was the best defense we've faced. UND'S offense was so bad we got a lot of time on the field. What did we average on 1st down? 1 yard?
Special teams - flat out sucked except for LeCompte and Cam Peterson.
Final thoughts. Were obviously way ahead of UND. The worm isnt slowly turning. (Sorry had to throw that in there)
There is no way you walked out of there feeling like you just beat your rival. You need taller boots if you are in it that deep. When we beat Uni you will walk out feeling way different than today.Quote:

Just wanted to say we really enjoyed ourselves yesterday. The atmosphere at the dome is impressive and wow, the tailgating is off the charts. Quite amazing. Really appreciated how friendly and welcoming all the Bison fans we encountered were.
As far as the game goes, it is obvious that NDSU is still a loonnngggg ways ahead of North Dakota. I was pleased with our defense overall, but they were just on the field way too much. I think it could have been at least a mildly enteraining game if the UND offense could have at least gotten 2 or 3 first downs in the first half. I don't think the game was as close as the score would indicate.
It was better than playing divine trinity or whoever. :)

No doubt NDSU is SDSU's rival. Look how many time we've bumped them off. They should be wanting to slash our tires. :)
My post game thoughts: Just my opinion, but the matte finish takes that shade of green to a whole 'nother level of ugly...
I loved the sign "welcome notre dame fans". Bravo to whoever put that up.
^^^ agree. Matte finish on helmets is just wrong. I think it makes them look like bowling balls.
I hope they make those in game videos available to watch online.
