Goodbye title game. Goodbye Heisman. Hello BCS chaos.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
That is a pathetic loss. OSU looked horrible down the stretch!

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
LSU and Bama Let's do this!!!!!

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
I love college football. :)
Congrats Cyclones!
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
No one wants LSU-Bama...soooooo boring the first time!
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
LSU-Ducks. I want total validation of the OODA loop in CFB.

May have been a little unfocused due to the recent events in their athletic dept...just a thought

They have already played each other. Some years back there was the same situation with OSU and Michigan for the N/C game and they decided against it because they had already played head to head.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
The MVFC computer rankings just got a boost.

If LSU wins outs.....its either Bama, Oregon, and if Oklahoma beats OK St then Oklahoma has a chance other then that there's nothing.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Arkansas could beat LSU, so I guess they have a shot as well.
I'd take both Oregon and Bama over Oklahoma, the Sooners lost to a pretty average Texas Tech. Iowa State slaughtered TT 41-6.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
LSU vs Houston the 2 undefeated teams so far?? Taaaaaaahhhhhh

That's why I said if LSU wins out...that Ark LSU will be huge
Toughest schedule in college FB LSU hands down, so IMO even if LSU has 1 loss they should still be in the National Championship game.

And Bama just got even more motivation to roll GSU and rack up the style points.

Hands down the best team and the toughest schedule so far. Woo Pig comin' though!

Agreed, LSU's schedule is very tough(nobody can top wins over Bama and Oregon). That said, I wonder how the three way tie would break between Bama, LSU and Arkansas if LSU loses that game. This could get crazy.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Silly thought: Say Oregon wins impressively over USC and the Pac12 South champ(ASU most likely). Alabama ends the season with Georgia Southern and no SEC title game(LSU wins the division). So maybe Oregon gets in over Bama because of GSU being a weak opponent. Stranger things, right?

Bama still has Auburn though, but it will be interesting to see what happens with Oregon.

See some of you at Gastropub tomorrow? I think I'm going to show up for the UNI/ISUr game at 11am. Stop by and say hi. Bald guy in a Bison polo probably sitting at the bar.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Might as well dust off this thread to talk about bowl games.
Defense seems to be optional in the Alamo Bowl. Washington and Baylor have eclipsed 1000 yards and 100 points combined before the end of the 3rd quarter. 53-49 Baylor. But the score will probably change twice more before I finish this post.

I think every game this year has been a shoot out. Very entertaining

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
End of the Insight Bowl has been a little interesting. Oklahoma has Iowa relatively well in hand, but apparently no one has the ESPN sky cam well in hand. One of the cables broke and the camera came a tumblin' down; nearly hitting a Hawkeye.

That was pretty crazy. Never seen that before.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Interesting stats on #3 ranked Georgia Southern's 58-0 rout of Jacksonville in their season opener yesterday:
"Georgia Southern sophomore quarterback Ezayi Youyoute rushed for a career-high 164 yards and three touchdowns in his first career start, and sophomore running back Dominique Swope ran for 104 yards with three scores to lead the third-ranked Eagles to a 58-0 football victory over Jacksonville Saturday night at Paulson Stadium.
"Georgia Southern (1-0) rolled up 557 yards of offense, all via the ground.
"If there was a chink in the Georgia Southern armor, it was in the passing game. Three GSU signal callers combined to go 0-for-8 in pass attempts with two interceptions. But the Eagles averaged 8.3 rushing yards on 67 attempts for the game and are now 7-0 in the modern era when passing for zero yards."
557 total yards. Impressive.
All on the ground. Say again.
0-8 in passing attempts with two interceptions.
How does a team expect to make it to the FCS playoffs if they CAN'T PASS? At all.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
They proved why an undefeated Pioneer team doesn't deserve to get an autobid.
They (JU Dolphins) will probably go 10-1 or 9-2 from here on out.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
42-10 at the half. Nebraska has Wisconsin right where they want them.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
LOL...Nebraska getting housed by a mediocre Wisconsin team 63-17 with 6 minutes and change left in the 3rd. Who is going to be the fall guy for this loss?

They got ripped in the regular season by Wisconsin also... so not really a surprise there. How long is Nebraska going to put up with being "decent" under Bo Pelini? He's been there 5 years now? Still hasn't had them to the top yet, although at least now they're "decent" again but that can't be cutting it for the Nebraska faithful.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Gophers are in the Meineke Car Care of Texas, might play Baylor or TCU.

I don't know how Bo will survive this. And it looks like Nebraska just got tabbed for the Capital One bowl against Georgia. Could see another 70-31 beat down.

Craig bohl?

I was there with a Husker friend of mine and he said the game reminded him of the game that preceded Bohl's departure. It was a complete beat down.

Bo has gotten some big time talent in Lincoln. The coaching is obviously lacking

Isn't Bo P's brother the OC or DC?
