Leaving your starting qb in the game down 45 late in the game is…well…interresting.
Re: USD Post Game Thoughts & Crow Dinner
Indy - you may have to explain that one…

Light up the Heisman campaign.

if our opponent gets blown out by an FBS team, just predict a similar score

Cole is really the great unifier. What else could guys like me, SDBison and EC8HC agree on?
I actually wanted Cole to start last year over Cam. Controversial? Absolutely. It all worked out in the end but it was just really hard to see an all-time great riding the pine aside from the 3rd and Cole packages.
I remember I had a conversation with TAB where I told him this and TAB was like "I still think QB should be Easton Stick." and everyone knows I think Easton is the GOAT so I didn't really argue until I realized that TAB was serious. I had to explain to him (in very simple terms) how eligibility works. TAB then asked if he could just change his name to Weston Branch and get 4 more years. Jury is still out on this one, but we're investigating.
Anyway, even TAB knew.
So what's your excuse?
My sig line has remain unchanged in 4 years. Never any doubt.

Kev's right though. Cole's not just putting up numbers against garbage teams, although they may well indeed be garbage. But he is calm in the pocket, looking down field, creating his own opportunities, AND when he does throw on time, he is dropping dimes down field. Full range of NFL throws.
How they got him to ride the bench for 4 entire years just may be the most impressive thing NDSU has accomplished. Cole is a monster. And you can tell they are holding back with him in the run game up to this point. Once they uncork that genie... Look the fuck out.

He didn't improve. He may have digressed. It happens.

He should've left in the portal with the rest of the team

I bet they will have a discussion about that hurdle. If I landed on my back like that from, what, four feet up? I would have to be wheeled out of the place.

Four feet? Bro you’re a hard sneeze away from the ICU.
