iirc Eli Bradley was a preferred walk-on, possibly still is.Quote:

#NDSU sophomore guard Eli Bradley has entered the transfer portal.
Bradley did not play in any games in his two years with the Bison.
NDSU has six open roster spots for the 2025-26 season.
Gus can probably afford it… :)
The hits keep on coming....

Just confirmed the news that the Summit League 6th man of the Year Tajavis Miller will enter the transfer portal.
Tough news for #NDSU basketball, this is the final day that the portal window is open.
And there goes our best remaining player.
Of the 11 players who could have returned, 6 have entered the portal. That leaves Stefonowicz, Fedderson, DWT, Smith, and Anderson as the only returning guys from a 15-player roster last year. 4 guys are signed to join from the portal or HS.
Really liked Tajavis and couldve been the focal point next year. Id be willing to bet the Denver Dragons finish ahead of us next year.
Sign up some walk on’s from baseball team.
9 guys on the roster is still more than half the teams in the league. It's the world of hoops we live in. Losing Tajavis sucks, especially on the last day of the portal but all that tells me is he was planning on staying and someone swooped in and offered him a bag last minute. Every single team's best players left in the portal so it really just comes down to who can rebuild a roster each year to compete, I was surprised with what Dave put together last year, we'll see what he can do this time around. St Thomas is the early favorite, and they are going to be tough to beat in this world of college hoops, they are getting some high major kids that weren't playing much to come back home to the cities to play, and I feel like that will be a recurring theme, big advantage for them there.
This is happening to all teams in the Summit... pretty much every season too. It's a way of life in mid and low major basketball now - you get gutted by the portal and you replenish via the portal. Even high majors have it happen to them - Baylor won't have a single player from last year's roster on next year's team.
NDSU's men will probably end up in the same place they always have in regards to their peers in the Summit - probably not at the top but nowhere near the bottom. Believe it or not Richman is actually pretty good at recruiting talent IMO. Developing that talent has been very spotty but maybe in the era of transfer portal musical chairs year-after-year development won't be that big of a deal anymore???
