OK, time for open try-outs, we need; QB, Kicker, Linebacker(s), DB(s), WR(s), two Turtle Doves and a Partridge in a .... maybe we could make this into a song?

You can watch Michael Hardie playing right now against Roosevelt at argusleader.com.

you cant compare miller and dressler--- dressler ran a 10.44 100meters and miller doesnt run the 100 cause he isnt fast enough
Re: High School post-season: ND, SD, MN, WI
From the sound of it, with the freshman we ahve redshirting right now and the guys coming up from HS we might have a pretty good looking set of receivers in a season or two. Hopefully one of the QBs we've got waiting in the wings can get the ball where it needs to go - but between Gebhart catching the ball for 900 yards a game, Ryan Smith running the Boston Marathon every other game and Esley Thorton looking all-world I'm very positive about the future of NDSU football.

Well, anybody who runs a 1:57 800 like Miller has darn good wheels (heck, get him here on a track schollie!) That said, if NDSU doesn't offer him, I'll understand - I mean, both UND and NDSU offered Smith very, very early so they both must have seen something. I just have a feeling Miller will be good wherever he ends up.

I have never seen either Miller or Smith play, but, from what I have heard, they are very similar backs with their physical abilities. My best guess is, it was going to be either Smith or it was going to be Miller. It's tough to justify signing 2 very similar RB's when you have DJ, Voight, Sigers, and Ojuri already competing for carries come next season.

That was my exact point. We have too many other holes on this team to worry about getting another similar RB in this class.

Right on, and Smith's speed pushed him to the top.

It wasn't by choice. Injuries ended the season for the starter and the backup and I think another backup may've been out, too. Our coaches were doing Saturday at the Improv. Oddly enough, the Arrows played quite well but perhaps that because it would be impossible to accurately scout the Arrows this year. We have good coaches but this is really a down year for the Arrows -- down in numbers, talent, size, you name it.

The Arrows head coach is an old O'Gorman assistant isn't he? I haven't paid that much attention to the Arrows in recent years as most of my friends younger brothers have all graduated H.S. now.
