And I will stand by my statement that I want Cam to move on to NFL and allow Cole Payton 2 years at NDSU as QB1.
Cam is not going to the NFL and Cole has been very underwhelming throwing the ball. There is absolutely zero evidence that he can make all the throws that Cam is making. Zero. On the plus side though he IS better at hitting dirt than hitting players with the wrong color costume.

63% completion 3 tds 0 int in shit situations
450 yards and 8 tds rushing 7.5 yards per attempt

Ceiling of the #1 rated qb in FCS?
So much nonsense in this post. I applaud the effort.

Yeah, but remember he already died on Mt Zeb and Mt Quincy so it's par for the course.

Meh. you don't know what your missing if Cole Had every Snap, so how the F would you know how it would play out? maybe we'd be at 11-0 instead of stupid freaking 8-3

And a massive boner for Christian Ponder for the Vikings.
This may even top that.

Yeah, cuz Cam is the reason we lost those games.:facepalm:

Re: 2021 Verbal: Cole Payton
I'd take Cole at UND in a heartbeat ... in the RB room.

cam has more losses than the 3 QB's before him combined.
I could point to the awful interception at und when ndsu was driving and TD makes it 24-17 & the entire city of grand forks puckers their butt so hard they are sucked into a worm hole.
I could point to the INT in 2nd drive vs USD.
But I wont... I'll take the high road.

Cole single handedly lost NDSU two games and he's the backup

Lol I get this is probably hyperbole because of who you’re arguing with but that is nonsense.

Re: 2021 Verbal: Cole Payton
Cam is one of the best QBs I've seen at NDSU. Cole is one of the most exciting players I've seen with the ball in his hands.
Not really seeing a problem that couldn't be fixed by bEtTeR pLaYcAlLiNg! /s

Do we know Cole wants to move on if Cam returns?
In a perfect world we will have another season of both of them with Cole seeing more series than he did this year.
Regardless of what any of us armchair coaches want to see, you cannot push Cam out so Cole can shine. Why would anyone commit to the Bison moving forward if they set such a selfish precedent? If Cole cannot earn number one, he remains the 2.
Both understand how the portal operates and neither are being held here against their will.
I dont think it really sets a bad precedent. Its just sorta reality right now. Lots of 5th year guys probably being gently nudged out the door.

Re: 2021 Verbal: Cole Payton
The second thing I learned in today's presser. Did you all know that they have a Leadership Council? Guess who is on it. That's right, Cole Payton. I especially appreciate who gets to vote. I don't imagine Cole is going anywhere anytime soon other than perhaps Frisco, TX (and intermediate stops between.)
Edit: this ties in to Slick's observation re academics. There is a whole lot of "right stuff" goin on in the dark for this wretched 3 loss program. A lot of right stuff where nobody is lookin. It's enough to make an alum proud. Ya know?

If it wasn't for a full bouquet of sixth year guys would SDSU be on top of the mountain today?

And if you think Chapo was trolling……sigh…:)
What really happened was he got caught, as you said, making sh#t up,
both here - where he keeps going after the Bison QB -
and over on the Montana State thread where 56
caught him trying to take credit for something a
Highway Patrol Officer did.
Why do you think he has been flying around on all the different threads posting like a drunken Fighting Hawks hockey fan…???
A - Hoping everyone forgets those things plus mtoutfitter calling him out…

One of the best? Not better than Brock Trey Easton or Carson.
Is he better than Steve Walker?

Re: 2021 Verbal: Cole Payton
Until Cole Payton starts and plays every offensive snap for a full game, nobody really has any kind of real handle on what his level of play at QB can actually be. All of this speculation about his accuracy is bullshit. What we do know, he is dynamite with the ball in his hands.
His HS tape passing the ball was beyond impressive. He throws a beautiful, eminently catchable ball. His arm is strong. Whether or not he has the accuracy and timing to hit guys at the right time and place against top FCS defenses remains to be seen.
If he ever gets the chance to develop, he has everything there to play on Sundays.
Only an idiot would wait behind Cam Miller when a potential NFL career awaits him.
I'm telling you, the kid is gone; unless coach makes a bold move.

I haven’t been on BV much lately in the last couple years, but frankly I’m surprised Chapo hasn’t been banned and had to change names again lately. I still prefer to refer to Sam as Lakes. That name and persona takes the cake!

I agree, but making statements like this will offend the Cam lovers here. One thing is for sure, when the Bison get behind in an important game Cam has yet to prove he can put the team on his back and lead the Bison to victory.

Weren’t we trailing in the 2 nd half in both the ‘21 and ‘22 semifinal games?

You know what I am referring to (game ending drives). Not halftime scores unless down by something like 3 TDs.

Coach doesnt have the stones and you are correct Alsen. (sitting idle while a wentz/lance type is right here will really hurt this program)
