The whiners are gonna whine, but what I don’t get is - what was the AD suppose to do exactly? Waiting for an invite from a conference you want to join is really the only viable option, as has been discussed over and over and over again.

Interesting tweet
It will be fun to watch how this all plays out ...
Speaking of visiting other message boards, Lakesbison is back lobbying the MW forum again. No sightings of Tenbobnote yet.
If we move up to FBS, and Bohl became available, do we bring him back?
How confident are we in Entz and the existing staff?
It is possible that nothing will happen over the next 11 days.
The MW has exactly no reason to grant an extension.
If SDSU is nervous about actually exiting the conference until a deal for the Pac is in place they can stick around and try again next summer.
I do not believe the MW will add anybody new right away. After 26 when the current tv deal expires I think they will add. That add could well be NDSU but lots of schools have approached the
MW. I think you would have votes in the mountain side of the MW. I am not certain there will many in the west side.
Nothing comes easy..
Although... Portly is writing articles trying to poison the well for athletic funding and obfuscating the fact that NDSU is far less dependent on public funds to support its athletics than say another university in the state. Could be he's just beating his favorite dead horse or could be building up opposition for something in the works.
Sounds like the MW decided to make the decision easy for SDSU… good for them. SDSU tried having their cake and eating it too. SDSU better have their poop in a group (already have an agreement on terms, perhaps) or they are at risk of looking mighty foolish…

Good explanation here with reasonable predictions from yet another random MWC guy
Is Herder random? He was on Izzo's show yesterday and didn't seem too confident NDSU to the MWC would happen.
Herder wants to stay FCS and always has, so you tell me ... is he reputable? He's a bit new to the G5 party, so I'll cut him some slack here
But yeah, there's a good chance the MWC sits tight for now, so he might be right
But the point is, NDSU is at or near the top of the list, and will be for the AAC too, despite your constant exclaiming otherwise
