When you have to fill 65 spots, you have a ton of scholarships available and the promise of seeing the field. The turnover is a short term problem but theg will be really good down the road. But then they will suddenly lose a huge class. Tough to balance

With the portal this stuff will balance itself out over 4-5 years. Balancing classes is not as important as it used to be 5 years ago.

A quick look at the rosters and their class breakdown doesn't look all that different from ours. Looks like they did a pretty good job of keeping the classes somewhat balanced.
SDSU:
40 Freshmen
20 Redshirt Freshmen
17 Sophomores
21 Juniors
23 Seniors
NDSU:
37 Freshmen
21 Redshirt Freshmen
27 Sophomores
25 Juniors
15 Seniors

Yes they did, considering they had 18 FCS or FBS transfers.
