Simple answer, deer hunting.

There were plenty of fans for the majority of the games.

That's a big issue with Gopher Games too.

Dude I live here and this town is full of people who do not care at all about college athletics. Of those that do, a lot of them went to other major FBS schools. Comparing the geographic distribution of UM alums to NDSU alums in their markets and out is apples to oranges.
I know a lot of Michigan State alums from work in MSP. It's just reality here. It is very rare for a huge FBS school to be in a major metro area where a lot of "visiting" fans have relocated. Not a lot of NDSU or UM grads live in East Lansing.

I was talking about Bison attendance having 17,000-18,000 for most of the games in response to you not having enough fans to fill the Fargo Dome.

Honestly after a 3-8 season last year we did pretty good....alot better than I thought especially with the up and down year. I expect this year to be better as the playoff run was a good sign of things to come.

Good question. Might have something to do with deer opener and thanksgiving holiday.

That's fair. I think Minnesota's attendance was hit in a similar way after a 1-9 start to the season.
