Whats the count?
Because if we are 0-11 attendance will bet 17000 per game instead of 14,000 per game.
If season ticket holders dont show up they still count. and NDSU still gets paid.
Think of it as insurance. Also people with season tickets care alot more about the program. Im not saying people who buy single game tickets dont care, some are probably raving lunatic bison fans, but most people who are crazy bison fans would just buy season tickets have a guranteed seat every weekend. If season tickets were not a benefit to the school they would not exist.
Now when we play Indiana state when the bison are 2-8 and Indiana is 1-9(or even if we are 9-1 and they are 0-10 the attendance is still crappier), the attendance will be 12003 instead of 12006. If everyone thinks the way you do then attendance is 9001 instead of 12006, or whatever....
Right now we know the worst attendance possible to a bison football game is 7780. Assuming not a soul shows up.
I agree that season tickets are the best way to go, I have season tickets but i dont agree with saying a single game ticket purchaser etc... are less of a fan than I. Some people opt to by single game tickets because of their work/family schedule. and don't feel it necessary to "insure" their tickets by purchasing the season ticket package.
I for one will buy season tickets no matter what because A- support the program B- have selectability in my seats, and keep the same seats every game C- guarantee I have seats EVERY GAME;)
Per someone important,
10000 is the goal because coupled with 4000 student tix and 1500-2000 day of game walkups, game can be called a success from a seat standpoint.
I think it is a lofty goal, getting 50% of your attendance there even before the team plays is a pretty good accomplishment.
