UND post-game thoughts.

I once had a basketball coach tell me if you run up the score the kids forget but the coaches won't.
Bubba does seem like a decent guy in a no win situation so Im glad Coach K took the high road.

Listened to Jack's show on 740 this afternoon, he had a UND doctor on who said people should contact the legislature and ask them to force the game upon NDSU every year. The taxpayers deserve this game apparently. When Pinto brought up the money NDSU could lose, he was like the money doesn't matter and was like the schools should split the revenue every year.

Phil Johnson, he is on the show once a week.

I believe he played football for UND.

Pinto was on his game for a change, basically told the guy if UND wants an annual game then they should join the MVFC.

this and the one they played showing all of NDSU's accomplishments since going d1 are the fucking shit! basically a big middle finger to all UND fans. i thought it was awesome, especially since UND's is basically a womans basketball highlight, a few frozen four choke jobs and a victory over hapless Wyoming

I expect much more of this kind of talk, it's the UN__ go to plan B. Get the legislature to force NDSU to play every year, just like they got the legislature to force the NCAA to keep the nickname. And... this guy is a doctor, cranial rectal insertion. The genie is out of the bottle.

It would not be the first time that legislation mandating the game would be introduced---it was tried a few years ago and killed.

Will not get a game every year until:

UN_ is in same conference (most likely?)
UN_ builds a larger stadium of 25-30,000(+) (unlikely until 30+ years and only slightly after that)
UN_ pays a huge ransom and we don't need a 6th home game and we need a 11/12th game (very unlikely)
NDSU goes 0-11/12 for 5 straight years and fan interest falls off the cliff (impossible)

I said back when this game was scheduled that I thought NDSU would lose some of their "bargain" power but I don't think so. NDSU can pretty much play the doesn't make money sense card all day long until one of the scenarios happens above.
