Those decisions had a huge part of the team in quarantine for the end of season run. That's what the people at the Colts are looking at. And no we don't need to discuss the actual decision. If Carson and the Colts are so smart I'm sure they had a closed door meeting with a trusted medical professional about the decision and that decision is theirs alone to make. This is the results of the decision. Oh yeah but Carson doesn't get a fair rep. Blah blah blah that's exactly why we compare him to Roger Maris.
Good point Scottie. There are comparisons between Carson and Maris as far as the press coverage goes. Also how about 4 time WORLD champion saddle bronc rider Brad Gjermundson??

this isn't even a comparison. so just stop.
I can sit with anyone anywhere and they will know Carson Wentz. can't say that about ANY other North Dakotan. ever
Sam, do some research.
The Major League Game of the week, Saturday afternoon, drew more people watching than an NFL game today. It was the only sporting item on tv. More people watch that one weekend, then ESPN has viewers has in a week. the game of the week was just that big.
Secondly trending doesn't mean the most people are looking at, retweeting or discussing. It means it is trending. You can go from 50 people on our tweet to 250 and make the list. So trending doesn't mean 2 million viewers. Plus when its a new story, carson getting waived, carson to washington, carson to the pro bowl. Each one of those can trend with the same group. It doesn't mean it is a new unique group causing the trend.
Also, haven't even touched upon the impact of the New York Daily influence they had.

If twitter existed in 1961. How many times would have Roger and Mickey trended?

There were only three networks that broadcasted sports at all back then. Even in the 1980s growing up without cable, I had to stay up late to watch the George Michael Sports Machine or halftime on Monday Night Football to get highlights from most NFL games.

It didn't exist. And that's kind of the entire point here. Doesn't matter what would have if it did.

As far as Wentz. There's more of the same reports about him in Indy. From people who work with him every day.
It's time for Wentz to look in the mirror and figure what he needs to do to make it work. Or else he's looking at his last chance as a starter.

It's a stroll down memory lane when you mentioned the Saturday afternoon game of the week with Dizzy Dean and Pee Wee Reese during the 50's and 60's; never forget Dizzy Dean talking about the Gas House Gang of the 1930s St. Louis Cardinals or Pee Wee Reese talking about playing with Jackie Robinson..........aw, memories !!!!

Curious reports you’re referencing? All I’ve seen is that he didn’t put the team on his back and win the last two games of the year single-handedly. Much different from the locker room mud slinging in Philly.

The story makes it look like they really didn't like him off the field and it wasn't as much his play as his quirkiness. The part about Wentz learning he was on shaky ground with couple months left in season and requesting to meet with irsay who didn't probably led to uom struggling the last 2 games, but it jeeds to be asked why its getting to that point.
And it's not just the vaccine they would have overlooked that like other organizations did with their qb who didn't get vaccinatwd.
