I'm somewhat of a contrarian, I'm not an expert, and I'm undoubtedly biased. But if I'm looking into markets and marketing that tells me that the product STINKS and that no one cares about it. There is zero brand loyalty to Kennesaw State. I would guess there are more people that drive an hour-plus to Fargo for NDSU games than were at the last Kennesaw game. THAT is brand loyalty. Those are the eyeballs you are after.
If I spell anything correctly its just pure luck so I wouldnt use that as a talking point.:D

I mean their brand is so strong you didn’t even spell it right lol. I asked one of my coworkers who went to Georgia Tech if he’d ever heard of them? Nope.
It's not all about what the brand currently is. It's what it can become. Also, football isn't the only sport media entities care about. A big one, yes, but not the only one. If the D1 Transformation Committee moves forward with doing away with AQ bids to the NCAA Tournament alot of conferences won't be safe, but we believe we will have a strong enough product in Conference USA to continue placing teams in the Field of 68.

Biden is allowed to not be able to complete sentences or thoughts, and he’s not “brown”. What’s up with that?

I thought this was about saying racist things but apparently you think it’s about politics.

Anyone with a brain can see what you’re trying to do here. Nice try. And typical.

This one I know. It’s called gaslighting. You and your buddy 56 have only tried it twice in the last 5 posts.

No, by all means it you want to make this place a haven for racist bull shit go right ahead. I enjoy it when my program, university and state are associated with that kind of ignorance.
and I’m also not the one worried about who started what.

You need a time out. Go to your safe space. Catch your breath and come back in 30 minutes.

As it turns out, we’re both wrong. Bigly is not African-American vernacular English but it is actual English, just old, rare, and arguably non-standard.

Sure sounds like "geography" to me.

And this sounds exactly like a "market" play that Kennesaw is unlikely to deliver. Too much competition with other bigger name schools, and Kennesaw attendance numbers are poor. I don't see that changing.

What can Kennesaw become? A team that actually fills its 8,000 seat stadium? Lol I mean come on
That being said, I hope they can move up and do it successfully. Be one more shining example for those in our fan base too scared to be bold.
P.S. Pay no mind to the “politics” around here. I think they just do that to make sure everyone else doesn’t get too cocky on here thinking we’re high brow individuals or something. Or maybe they think acting like an ass is fun.

For non-football sports, yes. For football only, geography is less of a concern. Kennesaw is being sought as a full member.

So which schools out of Tarleton, SFA, UCA, EKU are on deck next?
Most of what you've posted here thus far looks identical to what I've seen on reddit posts.

They're picking based on all-sports needs more than just football. Whodathunkit.

The FMCT draws better than some of these G5 teams.

I know you're being tongue-in-cheek, but I can't help it. USD is the school that in the past has made NDSU tickets not available online. They've also paired them together with other random OOC games with the intent of excluding NDSU fans. They'd rather not sell tickets than allow more opposing fans to come.
Just another great example of the mentality of some FCS schools.

Right, their conference is looking for warm bodies close in proximity more than anything else at this point.

Did they do any of that this year?

No idea. My dad went but he just drove there and bought a walk up ticket. I've never had a desire to go to Vermillion, SD and anyone I know who's been there regrets going lol.
Only USD "road game" I've been to was when they hosted it in Sioux Falls and then tried forcing fans to buy tickets to their opener against Colgate to get access to the NDSU tickets. All that happened was it convinced Sioux Falls USD alumni not to buy tickets.
Funny story though. They also messed up the execution and all you needed was to buy the one $5 ticket to the Colgate game and you then had the ability to buy up to 20 tickets for the NDSU game - instead of forcing you to buy the same number of tickets for each game. Then after they figured it out, they asked all the NDSU fans to "honor the intent" of the "promotion" by purchasing the corresponding tickets to their Colgate game. Mickey Mouse. Too funny.

Re: A new and better FBS thread
Georgia has two football programs. Georgia and Tech.
Can't imagine another university bringing much value there.
Atlanta is huge but that's an SEC town. Can't imagine many streams of a Kennesaw State or Georgia State on a Saturday.

Portland State the largest university in Oregon and located in the state's major media market. Should the Pac-12 add PSU for the same reasons noted above? I still maintain Kennesaw will have a hard time competing for fans with the SEC even when they are FBS.
