I already knew much of it to be accurate. Couldn’t swear to all of it. But he definitely does know some shit.

Piles of money and huge pressure all over the place in this one s2h! Aberg was on the other end of things with his gut wrenching finale. That triple bogey on his 72nd hole cost the smooth swinging lad $515,000. :eeek::eeek:

Writer for the Athletic got very lucky and won the draw for a Monday round following the tournament.

One of the hedge fund guys I worked for was a member of Hazeltine and I got to play a round with him the day after (or maybe several days) the PGA Championship. Like Gabby said in her article those greens were like glass. Extremely difficult to putt.
I also once played TPC Scottsdale one week after the PHX Open. That was way cool also with all the bleachers still up (and nobody throwing beer cans thankfully). Not near as hard as Hazeltine.
Thank you Masters for not having range finders in play eh. No expert but I've golfed enough to know you don't need a freaking range finder out every freaking shot.
Tom Hoge is teamed up this week and he and his teammate Kevin Chappell are T29 in New Orleans.

Parkinson's Disease Linked to Living Near Golf Courses—New Study
https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/oth...6ae0ff26&ei=11
Areas that shared drinking water supplies with water used near golf courses were the most greatly impacted, the study shows. Researchers believe this shows that the pesticides used on golf courses could contribute to the amount of Parkinson's cases.
He added: "This new JAMA Network Open study offers a warning we can't ignore: living within 1-3 miles of a golf course more than doubles your odds of developing Parkinson's. Drinking water from municipal wells near golf courses in vulnerable groundwater areas may be a risk.
Researchers said in the study: "Individuals getting their tap water from groundwater water service areas with a golf course had nearly doubled odds of PD compared with individuals getting tap water from groundwater water service areas without golf courses and 49% greater odds of PD compared with individuals getting drinking water from private wells."
Tom Hoge is -2 and T7 at the Memorial. Would love to see him get the chance to shake Jack’s hand on Sunday as the winner of that event.

GOLF RULE CHANGES - EFFECTIVE 2020
(For Senior Golfers - Age 60 & Over)
Rule 9.k.3 – If a tree is between the ball and the hole, and the tree is deemed to be younger than the player, then the ball can be moved without penalty. This is because it's simply a question of timing; when the Senior player was younger, the tree was not there so the player is being penalized because of his age.
Rule 1.a.5 – A ball sliced or hooked into the Rough shall be lifted and placed on the Fairway at a point equal to the distance it carried or rolled into the Rough with no penalty. The Senior player should not be penalized for tall grass which ground keepers failed to mow.
Rule 2.d.6 – A ball hitting a tree shall be deemed NOT to have hit the tree. This is simply bad luck and luck has no place in a scientific game such as golf. The Senior player must estimate the distance the ball would have traveled if it had not hit the tree, and play the ball from there.
Rule 3.b.3 – There shall be no such thing as a lost ball. The missing ball is on or near the course and will eventually be found and pocketed by someone else, thereby making it a stolen ball. The Senior player is not to compound the felony by charging himself with a penalty...when, clearly, HE has committed no crime!
Rule 4.c.7 – If a putt passes over a hole without dropping, it is deemed (and ruled) to have dropped. The Law of Gravity supersedes the Rules of Golf.
Rule 5.a.6 - Putts that stop close enough to the cup that they could be blown in, may be blown in by the Senior golfer. This does not apply to balls more than 6 inches from the Hole. No one wants to make a mockery of the game.
Rule 6.a.9 – There is no penalty for so-called "out of bounds". If penny-pinching golf course owners bought sufficient land, this would not occur. The Senior player deserves an apology for the lack of sufficient land that the golf course was built on, not a penalty.
Rule 7.g.15 – There is no penalty for a ball in a water hazard, as golf balls should float. Senior players should not be penalized for any shortcomings of the manufacturers.
Rule 8.k.9 – Advertisements claim that golf scores can be improved by purchasing new golf equipment. Since this is financially impractical for many Seniors living on fixed incomes, if so desired by said Senior, one stroke per hole may be subtracted for using old equipment.

Please advise all your Senior friends of these important rule changes and keep multiple copies in your golf bag. Those not following the rules need to be provided a copy.
After all...GOLF is a game of Integrity.

“Sweden's Maja Stark is now a major champion after winning the 80th US Women's Open on Sunday at Erin Hills in Wisconsin. The 25-year-old is the first Swede to win a US Women's Open since Annika Sörenstam earned her third title in 2006. The only other Swede to win the major was Liselotte Neumann in 1988.”
Anyone know of somebody looking for some golf clubs?
Only used about 10 times.

Been watching some videos of the rough @ Oakmont for this week's US Open....moral of the story, miss fairways and greens and you're SCREWED. Not to mention they have to deal with #8, which is a 289 yd Par 3. It's gonna be quite the grind out there this week for those guys.
Give Spaun credit, he's not a big name but that drive on 17 and the putt on 18 were as good as you'll ever see in a major. On a brutal course too
Well said Pucknut. Amazing finish! Wow. Good for him and his girls there with him!
What does this mean????? Hes not leading.
Doug Ghim will sleep on 36-hole lead at John Deere Classic
A tradition unlike any other....another year not selected in the Master's ticket lottery.
Hoge on a bit of a funk currently. Hopefully he snaps out if it sooner than later

Thanks Audit! Too big a hurdle to clear this year. Wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t end the year with some more nice pay checks though. He’s a machine.

Interesting article here on options for future FedEx playoffs. Not gonna lie, I'm a bit intrigued with his idea for the Tour Championship of still taking the top 30, but do 36 holes of stroke play, then the top 16 move on to Match Play, similar to the US Amateur.
