If you are going to send the CB's on blitzes, FGS!! coach them up on how to rush a mobile QB instead of sending them out there to make fools of themselves and the program.
WTFingH?? Kpeenu should never! I repeat never... be the primary receiver on a passing play. This is just coach laziness. Use Owen Johnson or even Raja Nelson or hell, even Johny Gores in the backfield if you want to run a primary QB to HB pass play.
There was so much rank stupidity on display in this game it makes me wonder what the hell was going on with this team this whole week. Bison LB play was abysmal. Guys standing around clueless, guys trying to go around on the outside and leaving gaping holes in the middle like when Cam Miller ran for a touchdown in the title
game.
I really hope the press steps up big time and asks the hard questions at this week's press conference, because this kind of let down is just not OK.
A lot of you even in the post game thread are way too negative. We literally beat the #6 ranked team in the FCS by three scores. This thread should be absolutely about celebrating a good win after we completely obliterated their heads thanks to some good performances in the fourth quarter.
At least this wasn't 2024 with the ETSU game that was heart attack inducing, in the year we still won the natty in. I am really optimistic about how well this team can and will do against UND/SDSU and think we have a team that can absolutely perform well enough to beat those teams with a vengeance when the time ultimately comes. GO BISON!
I wish you were right, but a W in the Win/Loss column doesn't excuse the coaching staff's mistakes and pitiful unpreparedness of the defense, and the blatant stupidity of the whole approach of the Bison offense, especially in the 1st half.Quote:

In conference play the last 2 weeks, NDSU has punted 1 time. The Bison only had 7 3rd downs the entire game against ISU-R and 1 of those 3rd downs was the final kneel-down. We ran 16 fewer plays than ISU-R and still won by 3 scores.

ISUr executed better than us in the first half. Our run D allowed them to create gaps and their run D filled gaps well. Also, I have been unimpressed with special teams. Williams is a great returner, but sometimes it is cool to let the ball bounce into the endzone on kickoffs. Also, he needs to come up and catch some of those punts. He is letting way too many bounce into front of him and then roll an extra 20 yards.
That being said, ISUr is a good team. We beat a good team by 3 scores while not playing our best in the first half. We also made adjustments at halftime and it showed. My biggest issue with Entz was that he seemed unable to make those necessary adjustments. Polasek can.
Even though that first half had me bumming a bit, this game was still a positive overall and defense stepped up when we needed to close out the game.
Relax, bros. I’m pretty sure I know what happened. Polasek intentionally didn’t fully prep the kids for this game. You can hear it in his presser last week, he wanted the kids to get punched back a little and face some adversity. Well he engineered a way for that happen against a) a team capable of punching back, and b) a team he thought we could still beat when not fully prepared. Now the kids are mad and ready and take on the world. It’s 4D chess bros, trust me or my name isn’t George W. Bush.
