Cole and Bryce are projecting to having a Trey and Watson type year. They are special and don't take it for granted. 1 season and thats it. Those guys fuck!
The defense is as athletic as I've ever seen

Saw a couple messages about Cole hurdling. That’s instinct. Let him play. I’d actually be more concerned about him thinking what he should do - that’s how injuries happen. Let Cole cook.

So stupid to have bama/Georgia and Oregon/penn state at the same time. Both going down to the wire.

He’s no mark Gronkowski but he’s ok.
Oregon wins in 2OT. Bama wins in regulation.
Vandy/bama will be a fun game.

Any attempt to influence the color fans wear in the Fargodome is an epic fail.

On a related note that was the most intense timeot I've ever seen right before the end of the half. God, I love Coach Polasek... I was on the "Roehl Herd" train and I'll eat my crow there as well... serve it all up!

Re: USD Post Game Thoughts & Crow Dinner
I think the confusion on Payton vs Hayes is pretty obvious to me. Hayes looks like an NFL QB. Mechanics, tight ball, quick release. Payton is clearly a college QB. Breaking several tackles and such, but just ok (by NFL standards) throwing ability. Cole is an insane athlete but I doubt he plays qb at the next level. Hayes will be a practice squad NFL QB but Cole will be a starting NFL….TE maybe? He will be something but it ain’t gonna be QB next level.
But in the meantime, Cole “Walter” Payton should win his namesakes award.

Same thing was said of Easton’s and Cam’s NFL ability.

This is embarrassing.
When they say "Wear ____" they should only have one entrance for fans not wearing the correct color. Maybe if fans miss most of the first quarter they will pull their heads out of their asses the next time.

What's embarrassing is telling adults how to dress.

I dunno, I'm no fan of Penn State, but when they do a white out...that's a thing of beauty!

Chaos, once again, showing you all how it’s done.
Although, I do recall you digging up videos evidence that Cole can actually throw. Not sure where the doubt was documented.
I do remember you sticking up for Entz and Roehl. Here’s an extra skillet of crow hash for breakfast, bro.

"Well allow me to retort!"
I would bet my left nut that NFL teams are already looking very hard at drafting Cole as QB. What round? who knows. But he will get drafted with being QB in mind. He is basically Josh Allen size, with the same type of athleticism. He is big, fast, has an arm, and is accurate. People can laugh at me. I don't really care.

I was never on the Roehl train but would have been fine with Hayes before the season started. Polesek knows what he's doing in picking the QB and how to play him. As I said yesterday, I shudder to think how our offense would look if Roehl was still here. Payton would be running up the middle on every play.

I don't see that scenario as a lock, but it wouldn't surprise me to see it playing out like that.

A helmet off in the last 2 minutes with the clock running is a 10-second run-off option for the other team, similar to fouls that stop the clock. If they set the clock back, it could be a situation where the helmet was off at the end of play but recognized late, or the clock operator didn't stop it when he was supposed to. If the offended team chooses the 10-second run-off, the other team has the option to use a TO to prevent it.

Re: USD Post Game Thoughts & Crow Dinner
In the '80s, when a team won a game against the Bison, their next meeting was almost always a bloodbath. South Dakota was an exception because they usually kept the next game close (Mankato was another team like that.)
Only one team in the 1980's won two games in a row against NDSU. Any guesses as to who it was?

He couldn't do much better through four starts, that's for sure.

Nebraska Omaha?
If it's a non-conference team, I remember Northern Michigan being tough.

Augustana. Edit...meant Morningside.
-
Re: USD Post Game Thoughts & Crow Dinner
First, UND? Hahahaha!
Second, Nebraska-omaha is a good guess because they were the most successful v NDSU (4-7)
Morningside and Augustana each managed to tie NDSU once ... But never won.
Hint: it was a non-conference team
