So Coach K still doesn't have a QB.

Klieman is reportedly in no hurry to replace Jason Ray (TEs and FBs) or Messingham and sounds like he's planning to wait until after their January 4th bowl game: https://news.yahoo.com/havent-talked...223400291.html
I wonder if that is or isn't coincidental with NDSU's season continuing on??? Would Roehl leave his OC position at NDSU for TEs and FBs at K-State???
Can we get messingham back at OC then since he's unemployed?? that would be a fair "trade".

I think it's more of an audition for Colin Klein to call the offense in their bowl game. Klein will be the fans choice but it's hard to run an explosive offense when the QB can't make consistent passes and doesn't read the field well. I lost count of the discussions I had with K-State fans who hated Mess and I had to constantly remind them that Messingham wasn't the one making bad passes and bad decisions. It was the QB.
Seth Litrell, the head coach at North Texas, was the stylish pick to replace Bill Snyder. K-state fans were clamoring for Gene Taylor to hire him and were disappointed when Klieman was announced. It was reported that Litrell withdrew his name from the K-state job.
Litrell will have a losing record at UNT and be 0-5 in bowl games after today. I'd say Gene and K-state lucked out.
K State marches down the field on LSU
7-0
I'm all in on KSTATE -7. LSU down to 38 Scholly players
Ole Gene on the sidelines cheering team on with a conversion on 4th down. We still love ya Gene!
Luepke quick pitch for a TD to Duece Vaughn.
dangit lsu scores at end.
21-7 at half
Cole jirik just texted me and says he's at the game with taylors/kliemans and some other former NDSU players then heading the Frisco haha
28-7
espn just talked about Klieman winning titles at NDSU
Lot of NDSU talk at the end of the game…
Last 5 minutes was a ESPN infomercial for NDSU. talking about him ordering pizzas during fcs playoff runs at ndsu to "Not the first title for klieman in Texas as he enjoyed so many at Frisco" and watch this Bison vs Montana State on Saturday. who ya got?? well. you can't bet against NDSU...
BRAVO
Also - ESPN doesn't even have a written recap of this game. And earlier in the year for a KSU game on FoxSports, by the Wildcat logo they wrote "Rock Chalk." Interesting that even P5 schools are unrecognizable to sports outlets.

Really good news for Coach Klieman & Co
The 4 star homestate QB prospect stays home.

24 listed offers for the 12th ranked QB nationally, Avery Johnson

Joining a 4 star homestate RB who committed earlier, Dylan Edwards

yup NDSU South is killing it.
NDSU West is slipping.
Johnson's final 3 were Oregon, Washington and K State. When Keinholz committed to UW, and with the Pac 12 imploding, it pretty much sealed the deal. This is a huge get for K State. It's been a long time since they were able to get the top recruit in the state. Lots of momentum for Klieman and crew.
Well, that 4 star homestate RB got an offer from The UND,
so he has decommited to be “sure”
Coach Klieman & Co did get a new commit this week from Eden Prairie, 6’ 5ish who is also a good hoopster

Josh Hayes having a great first half for K-state.
"It's really simple for me, I can just say one name, Gene Taylor. Gene Taylor is my guy."
- Klieman on his name being linked with the open Nebraska job
Lost to Tulane today 17-10...that is the classic trap game.
