Notre Dame isn't playing well tonight, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over playing Ohio State. Their defense is genuinely trash. Clemson would probably be favored over OSU by more than a touchdown too.

my top 4:
1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. ND
4. UGA
5. Ohio St
6. Oklahoma
Oklahoma and Ohio State will probably end up auditioning for the 4th spot unless UGA somehow beats Alabama next weekend.
LSU A&M going to 6th Ot
So Notre Dame won. LSU lost again.
1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. ND
4. UGA (until they lose to Bama next week)
Since I know my ND fandom gets me roasted here(I bring it on myself), I'll give you folks my thoughts. ND is probably a top 5-ish team. I think they are better than Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc. Michigan took 58 minutes to score an offensive touchdown against them. They play pretty good defense, they have moved the ball well with the QB who took over in week 4. I have a few questions about the QB being able to stretch the field...the offensive line is good, but not great...and the run defense isn't where I think they need to be to win a national championship.
I think that they can play with Clemson. I think they'd need several big breaks to play with this year's Alabama. For years, teams have had trouble with Alabama when they had Brock Jensen-esque QB's, now they are playing against a Bama team with a Wentz type QB. Tua is a dirty man so anyone who dreams of beating Alabama needs to find a way to get him confused and rattle him. I think Clemson is best equipped to get to him.
All in all, I'd like to see someone push Alabama.
Top 5ish? That's small time thinking. Way to set the bar low so you don't get disappointed later.
This is just bamas world.. we're living in it until tua leaves
You are probably right. Ultimately, ESPN wants Clemson and Alabama back in the final game. Notre Dame brings in huge viewership so that leaves #4 spot. Ohio State has shown they are very vulnerable by losing or nearly losing to some teams that were very poor at the time they played. Oklahoma is flashy but has zero defense and has played against very limited quantity of defensive teams this year, so again will make for good TV and a nearly assured loss vs Alabama.
I do believe as long as they don't get blown out that Alabama and Clemson are in the Top 4. Notre Dame is in. So that leaves 1 spot.
Georgia wins they are definitely in.
Oklahoma wins against #9 Texas and Georgia loses as expected, then they are in.
Ohio State wins they need help but definitely possible.
My question is will they give the fourth spot to UCF if all 3 of those teams lose? Improbable yes, but considering they needed 6 teams to lose a game going into this weekend and got 3 of them already, then they have a chance.
If they don't does this give the G5 better reasons to do a playoff and then the top FCS teams join?
I was at Gophers/Badgers Game.
I rushed the field with some gopher fans after and touched the Ax.
It was AWESOME!!
Plus beating the Packers the next day. #WisconsinSweep Never happened on same weekend before.
ps. my NDSU hat got alot of compliments!
Interesting. It's crazy to see a very recognizable name like uconn being talked about moving down to FCS. Not that they are a football school but it just seems to me that once a school is established at a certain level be it FBS, D1 or a certain quality conference nobody wants to even think about moving down in any way.

Who knows maybe the outcry was louder from Idaho State supporters than Idaho.

Kill tells Fleck where he can stow his oar.
Man I wish we could play these guys on a regular basis. Regardless of PJ’s ego, the program does seem to be trending up
Itd be a fun annual trip. But remember... playing new mexico and buffalo is more beneficial in the computers for their national championship playoff bid than playing ndsu
Eastern Washington gets good news, gets 2 sixth-year approvals

Saban on his staff's priorties at the end of Alabama's season:
Quote:
“When the season started, I think we were great,” Saban said. “When we won the LSU game [in November], it just seemed like people’s own agendas started to become more important.”
“Coaches or players?” Finebaum asked.
“Coaching,” Saban responded. “We had a lot of guys who wanted to be head coaches at different places. It takes a special person to stay focused on what they have to do now when they have a job somewhere else that’s awaiting them and they have a responsibility on staffs.

#Badgers TE Gabe Lloyd is out for the season, per UW officials. He had surgery for a right leg injury last Thursday.
IIRC this is former Bison great Doug Lloyd’s son.
NDSU offered him during his high school recruiting, but he chose to go with a PWO with Wisconsin.
Demry Croft just couldn't get over the gooopher recruiting process.
Samford YSU attendence looks horrible. Samford scores first up 7.
This Florida Miami game is a clinic in poor tackling.
And questionable 4th quarter offensive playcalling.
OMFG! How many bonehead penalties can one game have?
That's some SDSU level defensive cramping.
You're kidding me!?! ANOTHER stupid PI call to extend Miami's drive?
