It’s just common sense, folks. They are waiting to see how the FBS landscape settles, if/where there is a split, etc. I doubt NDSU can afford all sports in a good FBS conference yet, so they are surely also continuing to raise $$
I get the impatience. I get the annoyance of having to be in the same FB conference as the hockey school, but you have to take the long view here. I would also be shocked if they aren’t actively engaged in conversations with what they see as desirable FBS conferences. Look at history. They always deny it at the time
Truth. I also think they are being very hush hush about any of this in an effort to not look foolish and/or save face if things don't pan out. Not saying I agree they have to be that concerned but I've been getting that feeling lately.
